"Tyrson..." she said, struggling to push him away. But when she spoke his name, he took the opportunity to slip his tongue into her mouth.

At that moment, it was as if the world came to a standstill. All she could feel was his lips against hers, and a rush of memories and feelings that she had tried so hard to suppress came flooding back.

Tyrson's hands moved to her hips, and she moaned softly. He smiled, knowing that she had missed him, too. But then, a voice rang out.

"Tyrson!" It was Julia, calling from the other room.

Meryl's eyes flew open. What had she been doing? She had been letting herself get swept up in the moment, but now reality was crashing back in.

She pushed Tyrson away, almost violently, and ran from the balcony. She didn't look back at him as she fled.

As Meryl left the balcony, Tyrson couldn't help but think about how she still tasted the same as she always had. But he knew she was too stubborn to admit that she was feeling something for him.

As she rushed down the hallway, Meryl ran into Julia, nearly knocking her over. "Watch where you're going," Julia growled.

Meryl mumbled an apology, not wanting to get into an argument with her superior. She continued on her way, her heart still pounding in her chest.

"Where could he be?" Julia muttered under her breath, storming off in the other direction. Meryl watched her go, feeling a twinge of guilt.

As she made her way back into the crowd, the music was pounding in her ears. She needed a drink, something strong. Maybe it would help her forget the moment she'd just shared with Tyrson.

"Meryl!" She heard her name being called, and turned to see Iris standing there, looking concerned.

He smiled when he finally spotted her. He pulled her into his arms, onto the dance floor.

"I've been looking everywhere for you," he said. "I thought you weren't going to show up."

She couldn't find the words to respond.

"You look gorgeous," he said, and she blushed. The music shifted, turning to a slow, sensual beat. People around them began to hold their partners close, swaying to the music.

As they danced, Meryl's eyes darted around the room, and she locked eyes with Tyrson.
Meryl's eyes met Tyrson's, and he was looking right at her, his gaze burning into hers. He was dancing with Julia, but his eyes were on Meryl.

She felt her breath catch in her throat. She tried to look away, but his gaze was locked on hers, and she couldn't seem to break free.

Their eyes locked in an intense gaze. She swallowed hard, trying to compose herself.

But then Julia began to caress Tyrson's chest, her fingers trailing down his shirt. Meryl's stomach churned with jealousy, and she looked away, breaking the connection.

When Meryl returned home that evening, she went straight to Mrs. Bug's house to pick up Michelle. She told her about the upcoming business trip, and to her surprise, Michelle didn't seem fazed.

"I'll be fine staying with Aunt Cassie," Michelle said, sounding confident.

Meryl knew she would miss her daughter, but it was also true that Michelle seemed to enjoy Cassie's company more than hers.

It might have had something to do with the fact that Cassie was always spoiling her, taking her out to new places, and buying her endless supplies of movies.
