Brenda's POV
Friday, December 5th
Smooth-talking
So rockin'
He's got everything that a girl's wantin'
Guitar cutie
He plays it groovy
And I can't keep myself from doing something stupidThink I'm really falling for his smile
Get butterflies when he says my nameHe's got something special
He's got something special
And when he's looking at me, I wanna get all sentimental
He's got something special
He's got something special
I can hardly breathe, something's been telling me, telling me maybe
He could be the one
He could be the one
He could be the one....
He could be the one
He could be the one
He could be the one...He's lightning
Sparks are flyin'
Everywhere I go he's always on my mind and
I'm goin' crazy
About him lately
And I can't help myself from how my heart is racingThink I'm really digging on his vibe
He really blows me awayHe's got something special
He's got something special
And when he's looking at me, I wanna get all sentimental
He's got something special
He's got something special
I can hardly breathe, something's been telling me, telling me maybe
He could be the one
He could be the one
He could be the one....
He could be the one
He could be the one
He could be the one...And he's got a way of making me feel
Like everything I do is
Perfectly fine
The stars are aligned when I'm with him
And I'm so into him...He's got something special
He's got something special
And when he's looking at me, I wanna get all sentimental
He's got something special
He's got something special
I can hardly breathe, something's been telling me, telling me maybe
He could be the one
He could be the one
He could be the one....
He could be the one
He could be the one
He could be the one...I smiled at Ellen when I finished the song. She looked sort of shocked, but happy all together. I sat in the chair and she sat across from me.
"So...That song was about, who?" I wanted to roll my eyes but didn't.
"Sam Evans." I said proudly.
"So, when did that happen?"
"Well, we actually have to thank the cheer leading coach at our old school. Granted, she almost dropped a huge sand bag on him." I made a face while she just looked confused."Anyway, she like, said that we belonged together, and he told me that she told him that we should have been married by now. Honestly, that woman has some serious problems, but she did cause us to get back together, which I am very happy about."
"I can tell. You two are a cute couple, in my opinion. I stalked yours, and his, Facebook pages and found a bunch of pictures that I am about to show everyone." I snorted.
"Stalker!" I joked. She laughed and pointed at the screen behind us. A picture of Sam and I during the summer the year before popped up. We both had sun glasses on and I was on Sam's back, and he was shirtless. He had his head turned to the side, kissing my cheek sweetly, and I was smiling. A lot of pictures came up, and I explained where the picture was taken. The last picture was one that I was hoping wouldn't come up. It was a picture of Sam in his hospital bed, and I was laying beside him, his head on my chest, both of us asleep.
"Can you tell us all that happened during that time?"She asked.
"Ah, I'll try."I laughed slightly."It's kinda hard for me to talk about. I already explained some of it in the first interview, but I'll repeat what I said so no one will be confused."Ellen nodded."Okay so, it was a few days after my 17th birthday, and me, him, Puck, and Quinn, Puck's wife, were at my, well, our, house. He lived with me for over two years with his family due to some other reason that I'm not going to talk about, but he and his family still live there. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. We were at our house watching movies, and Puck wanted another movie, but he was too lazy to get up and go himself. All the other cars, five, were either broke down, or gone, so Puck let Sam drive his motor cycle. Finn, Rachel Berry's boyfriend, and his mom were in a car beside Sam, and all three of them were sitting at a red light. Once Sam remembered everything leading up to the actual accident, he said that the red light was red for more than 15. Anyway, Jordan was driving his truck, some huge bulky black truck, which had his name in big bold white letters, which was stupid on his part, in the wrong lane, and he hit Sam dead on."I said, and I was starting to tear up a little."Finn called me freaking out, telling me that Sam was hit by a truck, and barely alive." I said that part bluntly." Which made me start freaking out more. We actually drove past the location where it happened, and there was so much blood all over the road, and insanely small broken up pieces of the motor cycle all over the road. We got there, and waited for what seemed like years to me, and the doctor finally came to the waiting room. Everyone we knew was there, the entire glee club, my family, Sam's parents and siblings. At first, the doctor said that he was in critical condition, and that he had a 50/50 chance of surviving. Sam was in surgery while we were talking to the doctor. Anyway, his injuries were really serious. He lost a lot of blood, four broken ribs, his left arm was broken in three different places, his right leg was broken in four places. He had a lot of cuts, scratches, and bruises all over his body. He had a bad concussion, and one of his lungs collapsed. They had to revive him twice, at the scene, and at the hospital."I wiped a couple of tears off my cheeks. I looked at the audience and saw some women full out crying their eyes out."He has a lot of scars, thankfully they've faded a lot. But one is on his side, and the other is on his back, close to his shoulder. You can't see them unless you look closely at him. They had him in the ICU. His mom and dad went to see him first, and I went by myself. I remember pretty much every detail of this, but as I was walking down the hall towards his room, I heard the nurses say 'I don't know how that Evans kid survived that accident. Apparently the truck was going full speed towards him, and hit him purposely. There must have been a good reason for him to still be alive and fighting'. When I first saw him on that bed, it felt like my whole world was crashing down. He was trying to act like he wasn't in pain, because he absolutely hated it when people he loved saw him in pain. All I could do to make him feel better was be there, and tell him everything was alright. I thought I was going to lose him." My voice cracked slightly. The entire room was quiet." Honestly, I don't know what I could do with out him in my life. I barely slept while I was there with him, worried that he'd never wake up. It reminded me way to much of my dad, when he died in a car accident. Sam would wake up, literally sobbing his heart out, freaking out because he'd have nightmares about the accident. He'd see the truck coming towards him and he couldn't move, couldn't get out of the way. He got better over the next few months, everyone visited him every single day. When he was fully healed, it was hard for him to walk, and move like he used too, but he tried his best, and always exercised. We were in glee club, and you have to dance most of the time, which was even harder for him to do, and he worked hard to get the moves right, and he did it. Now, he can move and do everything he used to be able to do. He's been through so much in his life, and all I can say is that he is the love of my life, the only person I have ever loved, and the only person I will ever love, and that he's a fighter, and worth fighting for."
