the jet ride back to Quantico was silent. i was trying to process the recent events, so much had happened with such little time to wrap my head around things.
i was sat starring out the window, one of my hands up to my mouth as i continuously bit my nails. my leg was bouncing from the rush of adrenaline. Emily was opposite me, starring at me as if she was concerned.
she was tilting her head, still not taking her eyes off of me. Spencer was reading, as he did. he was behind me. his seat facing towards the pilot of the plane and mine facing towards the tail.
I couldn't see him but he seemed calm, he seemed to be quite content with his reading.
i finally took my eyes away from the window once i heard a noise. i looked over to where it had come from and found my eyes locked with Emily's. She had gotten up out of her seat and had begun to make her way over to the chair beside me.
i watched her as she sat down. her every move so elegant, so powerful. she could have full control over me if she wanted it. oh god- how i wish she wanted it.
She seemed worried still, her shoulders tense and her eyes longing for something to ease the nervousness that occupied her thoughts.
my eyes followed her as she took the seat next to me, i followed her hand as it made its way to mine, my hand was resting on my thigh trying to calm my leg from jumping everywhere, which it had but not from my forcing it too but by Emily. she calmed me, she made me feel safe which i hated her for yet don't at the same time.
she placed her hand over mine, her fingers fell in-between the gaps on my hand, i starred at them and let it happen. i didn't want it to stop, she comforted me, more than anyone had ever done before.
i took a deep breath and turned my gaze back to the window next to me of which originally had my full attention.
Em squeezed my hand and the rest of the jet ride was silent, normal, as normal as it can be at least.

In Quantico it was 10pm, everyone would have left to go home except the BAU team. We drove straight there.
Emily was in the drivers seat, me in the passenger seat and Spence in the back. again the journey was silent. the radio was turned off and the only sounds we could hear were the sounds of roads and the pages being turned every 20 seconds from Spencer in the back.
finally arriving at the BAU, we all got out of the SUV, once again in silence. the silence was comforting and peaceful, it was what i needed right now, i didn't want to talk.
i had my heels in my hand from the event earlier that night, they had rips and stains of mud and blood on them, i held onto them anyways. we all made our way to the doors and up to the floor of the Behavioural Analysis unit.
my face was emotionless, i didn't know what to do, what to think, what to say, it all seemed too hard, communicating was the last thing i thought i could do right now however its all i wanted to do. i needed to see some familiar faces.
i pushed open the glass doors, Reid and Emily following behind me and there they were. Morgan was sitting at his desk whilst JJ was standing next to him talking.
She saw me first. JJ's eyes met mine as her face dropped, soon after Morgan turned in his chair to also face me. JJ dropped the cases she had in her hand and ran over to me. she had tears in her eyes and opened her arms whilst running towards me.
she embraced me in a hug, it was such a big hug it could have swallowed me.
"Y/N, wha- what, how did this, are you hurt?" JJ seemed flustered, she pulled out of the hug, her hands clasped onto my shoulders. Her face was pointed at mine, i could see my reflection in her eyes, the blood on my face, the rips in my dress, the cuts on my arms.
