Eldons pov

So I go to Rileys and knock, Emily opens the door and shoots me a look and I know it's meaning James so I nod. Emily tells me where Riley is and I go. I am met by a smell of shawarma and I chuckle, James is definitely a crazy guy and his girlfriend and kid both love shawarmas like him, I go in and see Rileys brought shawarma meat and her and little AJ are making their own, I smile and go in, as I get in Riley sees me and stands then hugs me. I pick up AJ and am met by squeals of  "uncle Eldon" yeah AJ calls me uncle, I am their godfather. I spin AJ a bit then let go knowing Riley's missing James and that's something he's always done with her. AJ instantly runs back to what I'm gonna call the shawarma station and continues. Riley sits on the couch and I sit beside her where to she leans on me. I place my arm round her shoulders and she smiles. I straighten the promise ring and instantly know that she's been stressed quite simply as it's twisted. I pull Riley closer and she smiles. AJ comes over and eats the finished shawarma but every so often stopping and smelling it, this causes Riley to laugh tell AJ that they are just like daddy and the lesson daddy taught her was to "stop and smell the shawarma" and that's even before they dated. I smile at how clear it is that Riley loves James and this causes Riley to smile more and Emily who had walked back in to also smile. Riley grabs her own shawarma and eats it as quickly as possible. It's so clear how much she love and misses James. I know what to do and how to distract her. James is gonna be proud of me for this.
