Back to the start (pt 2)

Theo's POV

We decided as Michelle only wants 2 songs to do Lost and Found and our cover of Way Back Down. Well James asked that we do Way Back Down as a way for Riley to lead into telling her sister and best friends about the engagement to which we agreed as it was their first major duet together and so it was just fitting. We go into The Next Step and set up, James fusses about the amps around his kit but we ignore this because he's just trying to spend more time in the studio space as he's missed it. Before tour he would walk his sister piper in and say hi to Emily in the office but then tour happened meaning he couldn't.  Eventually he settles happily and joins Riley and Emily in the office with AJ. The rest of us do a sound check, usually we'd do this with James but we have begun to give him allowances to miss this since becoming a father. Michelle, Emily, James, Riley and AJ come out the office and Riley sets up a small inflatable seat that AJ instantly sits on. The dance team come in and after James hugs his sister and her boyfriend we begin our mini performance. We start with lost and found then fall into Way Back Down which once we are applauded for James walks to Riley who had been dancing freely with Piper, James sister and AJ, and puts his arms round her waist and they nod at each other having used the dance mirrors and they announce their engagement. This causes Piper, Emily, Michelle and Giselle to squeal and hug them run to Riley grabbing her hand away from James to see the ring.

After the show we pack up and go to our separate houses, well I go to james' so he can 'prep me for my date' first, Riley goes off with Giselle to do the same thing I assume from the winks Jiley gave one another. Please help.
