Y/N POV

"Ugg" I groaned as I finally woke up from my nightmare. I looked at the unfamiliar surroundings, where the heck am I? I'm no longer on the pathetic excuse of a bed, instead I'm on a very comfortable couch in an unfamiliar apartment. Strange. I sat up and removed the warm blanket and instantly regretted it as my skin no longer was shielded from the coolness of the apartment. I looked down and still saw the same clothing I wore for most of my life, a loose grey T-shirt and jeans that were torn a bit from overuse. I never had the luxury to wear shoes, nor did everyone else. I decided to explore a bit until a sudden voice spoke.

"I see sleeping beauty is up, did you have a nice nap?" asked the voice as I quickly spun around and saw the guy who 'rescued' me from the events of yesterday. He was wearing a black T-shirt with shorts to match. He was a bit taller than me, maybe two to three years older than me. He had black spiky hair with turquoise eyes but his most noticeable trait was the purple scars all over his body. I wasn't one to judge, the scars all over my body were enough to prove, we both had serious trauma in our lives. I looked at him and just stared, he just stood awkwardly, but who wouldn't in all honesty. I had many questions running through my head but decided to not speak, it was the only option that I saw was best.

"So, are you hungry?" he asked. I kept staring at him. How would I know if he poisoned the food or not? "You don't have to worry about me poisoning the food, I'll taste your food if you want." and with that he left to go to the small kitchen near the living room. The apartment itself seemed small. I could only see the living room where I slept and the small kitchen. Where the black haired dude stood was the hallway that seemed to have two doors that I assume were to lead to the bathroom and his bedroom. I sighed and sat back down. I didn't think he seemed like a threat but I couldn't be too sure. You can never trust anyone in this world, it will get you killed, or worse. I was still curious why he rescued me though, he clearly saw what I did yesterday but seemed to not be bothered. I got up once again to look at the window in the corner of the living room. The living room only had a couch, a small t.v. set and a lamp near the window. I saw I was no longer in that horrible warehouse. I was in the city, where in the city, I had no clue. If I left the apartment I would have nowhere to go and would probably get lost, so I decided to walk back to the couch and wait with my thoughts swirling in my head, giving me another headache. My quirk already gave me headaches but the negative thoughts floating in my head didn't help, so I decided to ask a few questions to the mysterious guy after he brought food.

"I only had toast and butter, sorry." he said while handing me the plate. There were two perfectly toasted slices of bread and a bit of butter on the side of the plate. I stared at it, I've never seen so much food. Usually we would get lucky if we got half a slice of bread. I couldn't care less if the food was poisoned, I quickly shoved the toast into my mouth and was satisfied with the crunchy sound. In less than a second I ate the slices of toast and looked back up to see the guy staring at me with no emotion on his face but looking at his eyes, I saw a flash of pity yet amusement. An odd combination but I could care less.

"Would you like more, I have another two slices left, I could toast them if you want?" but I only shook my head as I put the plate on the floor and brought my knees up to my chest, staring at the guy who was seated on the other corner of the couch eating quietly, but I assumed he already felt my stare.

"Who are you?" I finally asked. He finished his last bite of toast and set the plate on the floor.

"I go by Dabi. I was walking around when I saw you kill those two guys and pass out. I decided to help you since the heroes were burning the warehouse nearby and would have probably arrested you." He said the word heroes with malice as he looked up at me as I processed the information. I couldn't believe they truly burned the warehouse while everyone was still inside. How could these heroes burn and kill innocent children? I sighed and decided to calm down my rage or my quirk would act up again.
