Can we talk?

Queen Dupain-Cheng's POV:

I got to talk to Marinette. I then started pacing around my room. How am I going to talk to her. Before I decided to have a change of heart, all my conversations with her began and ended with yelling and/or.....violence. I cried thinking why would a person like me........a-a mom like me hurt her only child.

I've truly failed as a mother. I said crying as Tom walked in. Honey? Are you ok? He asked me. I just hugged him not saying a word. What's wrong? He said hugging me back. A-am I a good mother? I said with tears in my eyes. Yes. You are a great mother. Despite all the things you have done. I still think there is good in you. God thinks there is good on you too. He said caressing my cheek. I smiled.

Apologizing to Marinette is my priority right now. I walked out into the hallway to get to her room. Marinette? I said knocking on her door. There was no response so I knocked once more, again no answer. Hm? Where could she be? I said.

Princess Marinette's POV:

*a few hours before*

I yawned as I was sketching some new designs. I sighed then heard a knock on my balcony door. Walking up to it I looked out the glass square opening.

Adrien! I gasped in excitement undoing the latch. I hugged him tightly. I missed you so much. I said with my arms wrapped around his neck. Me too princess. He said with his hands around my waist. I smiled blushing. It's very nice to meet you again Mrs. Clara. But how come you weren't with him all the other times he visited here? I said. It's very nice to meet you again, too. She said as she curtsied.

Can we go I don't want my mother to know I'm leaving. I said as walked down the stairs of my balcony. Where do you want to go princess? Adrien said as he linked his arm into mine. Can we just walk around the village. I said. Yeah that'll be great. Adrien said.

Everyone was looking at us in delight. It's Princess Marinette with Prince Adrien. One man shouted bringing a crowd around us. I gapsed huddling up next to Adrien. I was used to getting attention but that was little boys, this is grown men. I was kinda scared. Please step back give them some space. If any of you are going to meet them please form a single file line. Mrs. Clara said putting her arm out straight.

A man walked up to me with his child. The little boy walked up to me. Hello little guy. What's your name? I said crouching down at his level. Alexander. He said with a high pitched voice. That's a very cute name. I said bopping his nose. He giggled hugging me. I smiled. It's a pleasure. The man said as he grabbed my hand and kissed it. I smiled. I have to admit I rather have Adrien kiss my hand. But this is the formal greeting for every princess.

Oh my gosh I can't believe that we are meeting Prince Adrien. One of the girls said as I looked over. I rolled my eyes and sighed. Adrien looked over at me. You ok? He said grabbing my hand. Yeah? I said placing mine on top.

Queen Dupain-Cheng's POV:

I looked out the window of her bedroom. Where did she go? Is she okay? Looking around her room and I saw something under her bed. Cards, pencils and an old sewing kit? I then heard the front door open. I gasped jogging out of her room. It was Marinette and Prince Adrien. He was pulling her close to him as she smiled. They looked so perfect for each other.

I saw Prince Adrien and his bodyguard that was with him leave the palace. Then Marinette started to walk up the stairs towards her room. She gasped as she saw me. Were you just watching me? She asked. No. Well I was just waiting for you to get home. I said. Oh. Ok? She said. Wait Marinette, can we talk. I said. She stopped in her tacks. Why? After all that you done to me? She said as she slammed her bedroom door.

Marinette please.............I'm sorry? I said crying. Then there was silence. I'm sorry for making you sad and upset. For physically and emotionally hurting you. I'm so so so very sorry Marinette. I said. The door opened. Why should I trust you, after what you did. She said crossing her arms. Becuase I love you and I promise it will never happen again. She looked at me in disbelief. I'm sorry mother but I can't accept your apology........at least not right now. She said. I gasped.

Aunt Clara's POV:

So did you have fun? I said. Yes I did thank you so much Aunt Clara. Adrien said giving me a hug. No problem. I giggled. I know how much Adrien missed Marinette, he couldn't bare to go one day without seeing her face.

We walked inside. I was about to go to my office but Gabriel caught me. Where were you at today? He said walking up to me. Uh? I-um was at the Cheng's palace. Adrien really wanted to see the Princess. I said clearing my throat as I put my hands behind my back. I told you not to go to that place again?! Especially Adrien. He said. He never goes anywhere, Gabe?

I was only doing what's best for my nephew. I yelled back. And I'm only doing what's best for my son? He said. I know you want to protect your son, but you can't protect him forever. I said. I know how to take care of my son. He said.
