3. Zac Efron could be your sugar daddy

Maggie Lindemann's 'Pretty Girl' echoed through the car as we travelled down the highway. NH58 connects Fatehpur to Udaipur.
From Aravali , it's an one and a half hour drive to Udaipur via NH58 which also happens to be the highway on which the accident that caused my father his life occured .

After my graduation , I landed an internship in my dream hotel TKS .
TKS group of hotels is owned and operated by Pratap Raj Singh , Veer's father and my soon to be father in law .
Yes , I got to know about my arrangement with Veer when I turned twenty but didn't know him or had saw him at all .
After they turned five , the twins were sent to a boarding school at London .
Our families are close but I never had a chance to meet either Veer or Yuvraj all these years .
And when I was twenty, I was a rebel and was blinded by rage during those years that I didn't really pay attention to the newfound information .
The only thing in my mind during that time was to bring the truth of 10th July to light and to fulfill my father's dream of converting our ancestral palace into a hotel .
TKS group of hotels was originally found by Raj Singh , Veer's grandfather and Harit Singh , my grandfather .
Veer's father and my father eventually inherited it as a legacy and expanded the business forward .
Business was flourishing those days as TKS had now became the first five star hotel in Udaipur during that period which was two decades ago .
My father and his father were not brothers by blood but they were surely sworn brothers . They both were best of friends . Pratap uncle is really a father figure to me after my own dad .
But then my own uncle, Dhiram had to pull his stunt of cheating . Twelve years ago, he mortgaged our ancestral palace . And to pay for the mortgage , my father had to give up his shares on TKS .
Pratap uncle urged to help but my father was a righteous man , a royal for whom prestige was his jewel and his crown so he gave up his shares and started working in TKS as the finance manager . The CFO to finance manager drop didn't manage to drop the smile on my father's face of which I am proud about .
On the first day of internship at the Aravali branch of TKS group , I met the man who hadn't stopped invading my thoughts since our first encounter . That would be a fun tale but for next time .

I turn the volume to max knowing it annoys Veer. He grunts but doesn't say anything and keeps his eyes focused on the road .
Over time the few things I learnt about Veer is that he is extremely sweet and caring to his loved ones . People find him an outright arrogant and rude businessman but he is anything but that .
Veer is really smart and talented with a brilliant business sense . Though he takes his own sweet time befriending someone or even trusting someone in the first place , he is not outright rude to anyone as people make him to be . He loves birds, his favourite being falcon . He did tell me once that there is no particular bird his favourite but the giant falcon wallpaper in his room says otherwise . That man has a full sleeve of tattoos on his right hand and is absolutely obsessed by them .
But the most important thing I learnt is that when he cares about someone he does it with all his heart . Either he is all in or all out . Like he was to his brother .
His brother's death has left him very devastated because he loved his brother with his soul . He was his literal half . And his death scarred him for any potential sentimental attachment .

"What is going on in that little head of yours ?" Veer mutters still looking at the road .

"Nothing , just thinking about the first time we met ." I lied though it was part true . I was thinking about how the times changed .

"The first time we met , you thought Zac Efron could be your sugar daddy." He says with an adorable grin which always makes me flutter .

"Oh please , I never said that . It is you who is trying to play with my words okay . My exact sentence was ' At some point , I even wanted Zac Efron to be my sugar daddy ' , so the could be part was never used just FYI ". I say with a smirk on my face but from inside I am smiling . The banters like this with him are my happy memories of the day that I absolutely cherish .
