The common room was now lit by a green fire dancing on a careless rhythm from the fire place. It was probably conjured by Pansy when she came down here.
Draco tried his best to process what his friend just said. He could feel his head spinning from either staying up late or the fact that he thinks Pansy got something going on with the Mudblood. It took Draco a good amount of minute before Pansy finally snapped at him, he blinked once or twice as if trying to decipher if this was real or not.
"You alright, Draco?" Pansy's stare was full of concern. Draco cleared his head of the possible scenarios that could be happening inside the dormitory, he supposed he'd let Pansy explain everything before he jump into conclusions.
Draco slumped on the couch next to Pansy, it wasn't uncomfortable but it wasn't comfortable as well in the slightest. Warmth enveloped his body as he sat down, thankful that there was fire to keep himself slipping from his sanity. Why wouldn't he? For instance, he just kissed Harry freaking Potter, and now his best friend could possibly be having a secret make out session with a muggle. The memory of him kissing his enemy made him shudder, for goodness sake who kisses their enemy?!
"Explain." Draco muttered shortly as he tried to veer his mind to something else... Anything else but Potter's soft and tender lips. Secretly, Draco turned a faint red. What would have happened if he stayed longer? Why in the bloody hell am I even thinking about this?!
"What?"
"I said explain. Why was the Mudblood in your room?" He creased his forehead, his eyes looking for answers. He wasn't even certain if he wanted an answer.
"Oh, don't look at me like that. You look like accusing me of something scandalous or--"
"I am not accusing you. I was just asking." Draco stated as a matter-of-factly. He observed Pansy's cheeks turning red, and it sure wasn't of the fire burning in the fireplace.
"Draco, can I tell you something?" She said after a while of silence.
"No," Draco bit sarcastically. "Of course you can tell me. I'm only your best friend for Merlin's sake." He then rolled his eyes as if Pansy's gone mental.
Pansy stuck her bottom lip out and then took a deep breath. "You wouldn't freak out, yeah?" She asked cautiously raising ome eyebrow. Pansy was having second thoughts and the blond nodded, encouraging her to go on. "I'minarelationshipwithHermioneGranger." She said it as fast as a millisecond. Her eyes were closed, as if Draco was a bomb and she was just waiting for an explosion.
Draco cocked his head, "Can't you say that a little bit faster? I didn't quite catch what you just said." He snapped, sarcasm flowing in his voice.
Pansy opened her eyes, showing a hint of frustration and irritation. "I said, I am in a relationship with Hermione Granger." She said slowly this time, observing the horror shown in his friend's face. Draco's mouth hung open while trying decipher each word that came out of Pansy. But it was loud and clear. His friend is girlfriends with a Mudblood!
"I think you broke him," Blaise said coming out of nowhere, yawning to himself as he walked over another couch. He looked like he just got up from bed and was still wearing his pajamas. "It would be your fault if he goes home looking traumatized like that." Draco finally closed his mouth and shot daggers at the darker skinned Slytherin.
