Care. By M.E.

Do you really dare to care?
Your soul is bare for all to stare,
Hanging on the wall there,
Too much you care.
You love and hate so fiercely,
Ain't my soul so darkly?

It ain't always worth it,
Sometimes they'll make your heart split
Into a million pieces.
Are you ready for the corpses?
So come with me,
Dive under the sea.

I'll bring you to your demise,
And your existence will cease.
Do you really wish to stay?
To smile and save my days?
Why would you care for me
When all I do is drown in the sea?

You're too good for me.
Don't you think I'm unworthy?
Undeserving of you?
Too battered and blue
For your angel's soul?
Don't the blood smell foul?

It ain't a lie,
How I'm called so sly,
For you're back again,
And I'll use you again.
I don't mean it, I never do,
I know I shouldn't do this to you.

I'm used to holding my cards close,
But then you give an euphoric dose,
I watch you laugh, knowing you know
Of everything from you I stole.
And suddenly I'm more aware than ever
Of just what I am, a monster.

I hurt you time and time again,
You must have been happier, before, back then.
So why ain't you leaving me?
Why do you promise to make me see
That I deserve for someone to care?
That their hatred, I shouldn't have to bear?
