I got up and opened my door and sat down on my bed next to my mom. "If you don't want to leave then why are we mom?" I asked my mom.

"Claire," my mom replied rubbing my back,"It's your father. He got out of prison, I don't know how he got my number, but he called me and said we better watch our back because we are going to pay for what we made him go through. Honey I'm not just being selfish or whatever your thinking in that brain of yours. I'm scared and it would absolutely kill me if something happened to you. Just trust me when I say, I am doing this for the better."

He's out of prison? My dad? Threatening me, his own daughter? "Mom," I blurted, "I am so sorry I exploded like that at you. I was just angry that you had put all of that on me at one moment. I didn't know why and I should of just asked you why. So if you don't mind me asking, when are we leaving this wonderful state anyways?"

"That's the thing," my mom replied with a disturbing look on her face,"We are leaving in four days. I already contacted the school and tomorrow will be your second and last day at French Valley High School. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you earlier, I was just worried an--"

"It's okay mom," I interrupted,"You were watching out for us, so thank you. I should probably tell Parker and Abigail now, huh?"

"Yah probably, I will be in my room packing if you need anything okay?" My mom responded as she was walking out my bedroom door

I got on my phone and started to text Abigail and Parker in a group message.

Claire: Hey guys! I really need to talk to you guys.

Abigail: Hey girl! What's up?

Parker: What do ya need to talk about?

Claire: Can you guys met me at McDonalds down the road at 6? I need to talk to you guys in person.

Abigail: Okay see you then! :)

Parker: See yah!

How am I going to tell them? I thought to myself, as I was getting ready to go to McDonalds. "Hey mom, can Parker and Abigail spend the night?" I screamed down the hall.

"Sure Claire," my mom replied,"just warn them that it is going to be a mess around here because of the packing

"Thanks mom!" I replied as I texted them to come straight to my house for a sleepover. I guess it's better to tell them sooner than later, I thought to myself.

I looked down at my phone and saw I was getting a call from Parker.

Claire: "Hey Parker!"

Parker: "Hey Claire, I'm sorry, but I can't spend the night tonight. My family is going somewhere tomorrow morning."

Claire: "What?? No! I really needed to tell you guys something tonight. It's really important. Can you please come just for like two hours?"

Parker: "If it means that much to you then, I will swing by your place around seven. Is that okay?"

Claire: "Yah, that fine with me. See yah then. Bye"

Parker: "Bye Claire!"

Well, now I have too tell them at separate times, great. Just as I hung up the phone with Parker, Abigail walked in. "Hey Ab!!" I screamed as I ran up o her to give her a long hug.

"Uh... Hey Claire. You're excited to see me today aren't you?" She replied laughing.

"I'm sorry it's just... um... I don't know how to say this... You've been a really great friend Abs. But you and Parker... are going to have a great high school experience... witho--" I couldn't finish my whole spill without starting to sob. I can't leave my best friends, this place, it's my home!

"Claire," Abigail blurted looking around the house at the boxes stacked up,"you're moving...aren't you?

I couldn't even face her right now because I heard her tart to cry. I gently nodded my head yes, and just went to sit on the couch, as Abigail followed me. We sat down and Abigail put her arm around me. "Claire... looking at how hard this was for you to tell me you're leaving. It tells me how close we really are. And no miles can ever take our type friendship away from us, and all the memories we have made together." Abigail told me, right as Parker walked into my house. Parker walked in and saw us both crying and immediately ran over to us with a worried look on her face. "Ab? Claire? What's wrong?! Did someone get hurt.." Parker said while looking around the house at all the boxes packed up with a confused face,"Claire? Why are there boxes everywhere? Are... Are you moving?" Once again I couldn't face my best friend, why can't I be honest with them? They are my closest friends, maybe that's why this is so hard. I just nodded my head and all of a sudden Parker blurted,"When? When... When are you moving Claire?

"Um... in four days," I sobbed into our group hug,"Tomorrow will be my second... and last day at French Valley High Scho--

"I am spending the night," Parker interrupted,"I only have four days with one of my best friends, I'm with my family all the time, I can skip a family day for my best friend."

"So, instead of being sad," Abigail stated,"let's go to the park, throw a party, hang out, let's just cherish the last day we have all together as the three musketeers."

That was such an encouraging speech from Abigail that we all got ready and went to the park and played volleyball, talked, played truth or dare, and had the biggest belly laughs that we've had in a long time. When we got home we ordered pizza and pulled probably our last all nighter. All night we talked about the most random things and I even forgot that my mom and I were moving to North Carolina in three days. That is, until we all left for school the next morning, and it hit me that this was going to be my last day at school with my best friends.

When we arrived at school there were banners all over saying 'We'll miss you Claire!' and when I walked into the halls everyone had confetti poppers. After that I knew today would be sad, but it's about to be the best day ever. In all of my classes, all of my teachers gave me a card, and the best part was I didn't have to turn in my homework! Haha! When I left school, I noticed everyone was carrying pink cards that said on the front,'You're invited!' Why didn't I get a card? I'm not leaving until Friday, I thought to myself. I walked over to Abigail and started to ask about the pink flyers, but she interrupted me saying,"Can you come over tonight? Oh and dress nice, because I am having my mom do a photoshoot of Parker, you, and I."

"Okay! What time do I need to be over at your house?" I replied.

"Come over anytime after 7:30," she replied back.

"Okay then! See yah then!" I yelled as I was getting into my mom's car

"Bye!" She yelled back as I was shutting my door. When I got home I realized our house was empty, all the boxes were gone, and the moving truck was in our driveway. "Mom, where is, are we? Mom... why didn't you tell me? I haven't say my final good-byes! I'm suppose to go to Abigail's house tonight for our last 'photoshoot!!'" I screamed,"I can't leave, not today!

"Honey, remember what we talked about," my mom whispered as she pushed me in the house so the movers couldn't hear us,"Your dad threats really have me scared now. He said he's coming tonight. Honey we need to leave, we don't have an option anymore. Call, text, facetime your friends but we need to get on the road, like right now before it gets to late. Honey, I'm sorry, but I feel like we don't have any other choice. You're just to important to me." With that, we got into the car, and I texted my friends, not on a group message, but individually, this is too important to just tell everyone at once. I want to have a conversation with each and everyone of them, for me to have as something special to remember them by. All my friends responded saying they're going to miss me and they love me and to keep in contact. Well that is except for Abigail and Parker they both read my message but never responded. Five minutes later I saw both of them typing, ten minutes later, they were still typing. Then they both stopped, they stated typing again... after about 10 minutes I was getting tired and decided to take a nap, since we have like another 14 hours in the car.
