The doors opened and we enter behind us the doors clicked closed. His big hand covered mine and coming back here gave me anxiety. I hoped I wouldn't get sick again. Everyone turned and watched us enter. A few people looking rather sour about it. We sat down and Jordan spoke first but not what I thought about. "Alex, can you go to the kitchen and have them make a breakfast platter with lots of fruit on the side?" Alex who I remembered as Jordan's head of security stood and nodded. I wondered how often he got odd tasks. I knew we skipped breakfast because we had to rush down but I found it strange he would eat here in front of everyone. The door closed behind Alex and Jordan opened his mouth again. "Last night I decided to propose to Hunter, she kindly consented to being my wife. So there will be no vote on the matter. We have settled it between us and my relationships should be my decis-". He was cut off by Shay.

"You don't just make those decisions. The Council votes on them, you put us in this mess and we risk war over your infidelity. Princess Samara was still an option. We should still vote." People murmur in agreement with Shay through the room.

"I will marry Hunter, no one can force me down the isle and if its not with Hunter than it won't be happening. She is carrying my child and we are choosing each other in this mess. Besides I think Samara can speak for herself." He sits down and gestures to Samara across the table.

She stands looking every bit a princess even in her clothes from yesterday. "I will not be marrying Prince Jordan. He broke the vows of our engagement and as such I am no longer under the agreement to accept him. He is having a child and wants Ms. Hunter." More murmuring from the crowd. People seemed to be very upset.

Jordan stood again sending a smirk in Samara's direction, I'm sure at the broken vow statement. "Enough," his voice carries and the murmuring stops. I look to the end of the table where the Queen sits. She is being very quiet today. I notice the small smile she is trying to restrain from her face. The door opens behind us and then there is the clatter of a tray being sat down in front of Jordan. He slides it in front of me and I frown up at him. "Eat or I will sit here and feed you in front of everyone," he threatens and I pale. I know the people at the table heard and I wonder if the others on the benches around the room did as well. I hesitantly take a small bite of a strawberry.

Jordan speaks again and I can't help but watch the way he commands the room. How the people around him respect and maybe even fear him a bit. "Thanks to my parents and Samara's we have been raised friends our whole lives. Though we both never loved each other in that way we do have a sibling like love for each other. She won't marry me now that I have a child coming and a women who I adore."

"The child condition can still be remedied." Shay shouts standing from his chair. "It is a scandal and she," he points to me, "is not fit to be a queen."

I notice the queen frowning at her advisor. Jordan looks ready to kill. I grab his hand hoping to remind him where we are and all the people here. I feared he would do something rash.
