Kaeya know what's up

Note: I realize this story ain't going no where since Venti call Xiao 'dear friend' every chapter so here a lil push ;)

Another fine day in Monstadt, Venti have been in a good mood since the night Xiao came to Monstadt.

The line when he say that he would like to visit Mondstadt more keep repeating in his head.

He should be free today right? Yeah he should be.

Venti look for Xiao in the woods, not long after, he found Xiao fighting some hillichurs. Without warning, Venti send out a swirl of wind making the opponents float up into the sky. Xiao took the opportunity and slash them into pieces while in air.

"That's... A good combo" Xiao say placing his gaze at Venti. He figure it would be Venti, I mean- who else would want to search for him in broad daylight?

"Yo hoo" Venti greet Xiao with a bright smile.

Xiao know it, they're going somewhere isn't it? Sigh, he can't seem to refuse Venti childish desire anymore so he don't even try to put up a fight.

"Let me clean up first" Xiao sign his hand at Venti showing the blood on his cloth.

Venti thought 'eh? Did he see through me? Hehe that's great'

Without further ado, they walk together to Monstadt. "Where are we going today?" Xiao was kinda curious.

"To meet my best drinking bud!" Venti felt happy that Xiao was showing some kind of interest in Monstadt.

"Pls... Don't get drunk and pass out again" remembering the last event still make Xiao cheek feel warm.

*BAM* Venti slam the tavern door open,
"Heya Kaeya!" Venti wave at Kaeya who is sitting at one of the table.

Kaeya wave back, what have he done to have Barbatos as a drinking bud? He figure it  was Barbatos after listening to the nonsense Venti spit out when drunk...

Venti grab Xiao by the shoulder and drag him to Kaeya "Xiao, meet Kaeya a cavalry captain. Kaeya, meet Xiao a... A friend from Liyue!" Venti figure that Xiao wouldn't like it if he tell someone about him being an Adeptus.

"Yo" Kaeya smile he offer two seat beside him for them. Kaeya notice how Xiao look serious and mature, totally not how he expect a friend of Venti would look like. With this fact, Kaeya naughty behaviour to dig in more on how they meet take over.

Xiao thought to himself 'this is how the tavern look like inside... It's very different then Liyue' His eye wonder around mesmerized of the unique design that can never be found in Liyue.

Before he know it, Venti is looking at him with puppy eyes. He point toward the wine Kaeya is drinking. Xiao understand almost instantly, he regret buying the bard wine 2 times and make him expect for more.... But this time he doesn't find himself arguing with it, instead Xiao sighed and reach toward his pocket.

Kaeya saw how Xiao hopelessly going to pay for Venti, he took this chance to test Xiao and see his reaction. "No need, I'll pay" he say smirking.

Venti attention quickly turn to Kaeya, "Really? Thank you~" Venti exclaimed taking a sit beside Kaeya.

Xiao was left speechless, the attention Venti gave him a few second ago gone instantly. He thought that he would feel relief but instead he feel.... Annoyed? Xiao is not sure of this feeling.... Seeing Venti be so close to Kaeya pain him.

Kaeya noticed Xiao reaction and smile 'all he need was a little push' he thought. He done the test needed to know what's up, no need to make Xiao jealous more than he have already. "Oh sorry, I forgot that my mora is only enough for my drink..." Kaeya cover up, he glare at Xiao giving him the chance.

Xiao eyes lit up. Rushing to Venti, he bring a bag of mora. "Eh? Thank you!" Venti move his attention to Xiao and receive the bag.

Seeing Venti smile, it relief Xiao... 'Does his smile have the same soothing effect as his music? Because it seem every time I'm near Venti it feel, refreshing... Everything fades away, just him...' this thought play trough Xiao mind as he watch the bard happily buy some wine.

'good' Kaeya thought. 'now I need to make the other realize' Kaeya feel like his not getting paid enough to be a matchmaker...

Xiao took a sit near Kaeya, he watch as Venti wave at him showing the amount of wine he have in his hand. A small smile form on Xiao pale face unconsciously.... He doesn't realize it but at this point, his heart will just go along with any shenanigans Venti offer.

"Woohoo~" Venti place a couple bottle of wine on the table before sitting beside Kaeya.

They talk and drink a lot. Xiao stay silent and watch Venti the entire time.

As they were leaving, Kaeya call Venti and whisper something in his ear
' please realize the poor boy afford for once..'
Venti is confuse, but he kinda gets it. Who else is a small boy other than Xiao... But what afford is he trying to do?
'maybe I should be aware more and stop getting drunk...' Venti thought.

Xiao wait at the door of the tavern to leave, Kaeya notice how Xiao is getting inpatient and shove Venti away while giving a thumbs up.

The both of them leave the tavern. Kaeya sigh, he felt accomplished of himself.
"gosh both of them are so oblivious I'm losing my mind"...

As soon as they leave the tavern, Venti smile and look at Xiao, he have a gift for him.

"What?" Xiao notice Venti staring at him.

Venti open his mouth, words doesn't come out but instead a soft voice whisper beside Xiao ear,
"Hi~"
Xiao cover his ear on reflect, flustered he look at Venti who is giggling.

"Did you do that?" Xiao asked.

"Yup,yup. Now everyone I want to call you, I don't need to go all the way to Liyue~" Venti wink.

"Ok..." Xiao felt bumped that Venti won't come find him again, but the thought of Venti course whispering softly to his ear make his heart beats faster.

"Thank you for today! Next time I'll show you Monstadt's strongest fighter!" Venti wave at Xiao sending waves of wind carrying Xiao back to Liyue.

Xiao felt happy he will met Venti soon. Its call slow burn for a reason
