darkness is a funny thing
we sleep in darkness
we watch films in darkness
we even dream in darkness.
but sometimes darkness can be a persons worst nightmare.
a fear undoubtedly terrifying.
some people say people aren't actually afraid of the dark,
but what might be lurking in the darkness.
i am afraid of what might not be there.
what if i wake up, and the love of my life is gone?
what if i wake up, and they never existed in the first place?
maybe it isn't the darkness at all.
maybe it is the fear of solely being alone.
