The sun streaming in through the window caused Heather's eyes to slowly flutter open. She sighed as she realized morning had arrived. She tried to get up but a hand around her waist kept her from getting up. And like a flood the memories of the night before came rushing back. She felt her face heat up and she looked down to see Bucky's sleeping face nestled into the side of her neck. She never thought about how much he had been through. The Winter Soldier was a cruel man with a ledger red with blood. She felt a tinge of pain in her heart for him. But now he was free, they both were. And now they planned to fight back against those who had used them for such horrible things so long ago. She pressed her fingers to his hair, gently running her fingers through it and Bucky hummed softly as his eyes opened slowly. "Good morning doll." He said sleepily. Heather smiled softly at him. "Good morning." She replied sweetly. "It's time to get up." She added and Bucky groaned as he wrapped his arms around her tighter. "Nope." He muttered, pulling her closer to him. "Bucky." Heather said with a chuckle. "I have things I have to do today, I have to get up." "Like what?" Bucky grumbled. "I have to get lab work done today." Bucky sighed against her neck. "Fine."
"Hazel!" Tara said urgently as she entered the The hospital style room of the lab at the Smithsonian. Heather could instantly pick up on her nervous attitude. "Yeah, hey Tara." Heather said forcing a smile. "Everything okay?" Heather asked and Tara tried to reply calmly. "Oh yeah just peachy! I'm just busy, you know how it is!" She replied with false positivity. Truly, Tara was panicking. HYDRA was planning to act tonight to steal and she would be the one pulling the heist. She would have help, of course. HYDRA wouldn't send an agent with her experience (or lack there of) without back up. Tara was preparing to do whatever she needed to do to pull of her heist of the Hope Diamond without fail. She didn't want to think of failure and it's consequences. She knew with HYDRA it would be nothing good. "Let's start with your tests, shall we?"
After her her appointment to get more lab work done, Heather decided she would take a look at the infamous Hope Diamond before it was stolen tonight. She slipped into the museum and effortlessly fit in with the crowds of tourists gathered into the museum to gawk at the priceless artifacts. The Diamond itself was a part of a necklace adorned with more smaller gems. "It's beautiful isn't it?" A familiar voice caused her to turn her head to see a welcome face as arms wrapped around her from behind, pulling her into a warm embrace from behind. Heather breathed in that familiar scent. "Bucky." She breathed his name softly. "Hey doll." He mused. "I can't believe HYDRA is going to try to steal that." Heather said quietly. "It seems so small and so not their style." Bucky chuckled softly at her words. "HYDRA has a style now?" He teased and Heather giggled in response.Bucky loosely kept his arm wrapped around Heather as they walked out of the museum. "What do you think about dinner before we save one of the most valuable artifacts of the Smithsonian?" Bucky asked as he looked down at Heather and her soft blue eyes. She smiled up at him. "James Buchanan Barnes are you asking me on a date?" She mused and Bucky chucked in response. "Perhaps. If I was, would you say yes?" He asked playfully and Heather opened her mouth to respond before realization hit her. "Shit, Bucky, I left my paperwork for my lab tests in the lab." Bucky's face fell with hers. "Can't you get it the next time you have lab work done?" He asked and Heather shook her head. "I have to fill it out before my next visit." She replied. "I'll meet you outside, okay?" "Okay."
