Miss peregrines: Of course Fiona

Chapter 9

Hugh

The next day Miss Peregrine told us an announcement. She said "I found out who cut out the electricity the other night. It was Millard." I whisper to Fiona "no shock there". She then says "his punishment will be decided by tonight." I look at him. He's looking at the floor. I can tell because he's wearing a hat.

LATER THAT NIGHT

Me and Fiona didn't talk all day. "i wonder where she is". Millard comes towards me and when he crosses my path he hit my shoulder. I turn around to the the same hat from the morning walk away. I turn back and head towards the oak tree where I can have peace and good memories.

It's thirty minutes before dinner. I sit there just thinking of Fiona then of Millard. My bees start to buzz in anger. She never did explain to me what happened that night. A soft voice broke the silence and my thoughts. " I never knew this was your favorite spot too" and i turn to see Fiona. I say " it was my bees buzzing that lead you towards me wasn't it?" she nods in agreement. She sits next to me and i say "why are you here, i thought you would be with Emma or Bronwyn?" she replied with " i wanted peace and quiet" she says "what about you?" i say "i wanted the same thing". i ask her " so what did happen with you and him when the lights went out?" she explained how she thought it was me, what she did with the thorn vine and how he tried to apologize.

We sit there relaxing away from everybody else. After a while we head back to the house so we can get ready for dinner.

When I get to my room I hug Hugh. We both hear an "Aw" and look towards where it came from. Emma is there.

I turn from Fiona and rub the hair on the back of my head. I wanted to get out the awkward situation. Emma comes up to me and says " Aw look you made Hugh blush. thats never happened to you has it Hugh?". I can hear Fiona giggle in the back. I go around Emma and walk downstairs. I can feel the blush on my cheeks. Just thinking about Fiona made my blush deepen. By the time i made to my room my cheeks must have been a crimson red.
