Chapter 41

The next day, Nakashima woke up at 6AM. She got changed and headed downstairs, her leather satchel over her shoulder. She skipped breakfast again, not feeling hungry.

It was still early, but she didn't care. She perched herself on a tree and started reading a book, next to the main entrance. About twenty minutes later, a kid walked up to her. She peered down and saw a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes. She recognised him immediately.

"Mirio Togata, am I correct?" Nakashima asked.

"In the flesh!" Togata chuckled.

"What is it, did Aizawa sent you to convince me to eat? Sorry to tell you, but I'm not hungry."

"No, nothing like that. I wanted to know about your relationship between you and Shoto Todoroki. So, like what, are you two dating?"

"Were... not."

Togata grinned at the sudden hesitation. He climbed up, sitting next to her. Nakashima scooted away a bit, grimacing. Togata leaned his head on his hands.

"Spill the tea~ you hesitated! Mr Aizawa told me you never hesitate with your answers, so why now?" Togata asked.

"I won't hesitate to kill you, y'know that right?" Nakashima threatened.

"I'll take your word for it, but do spill the tea. I need to know, I'm a big fan of this ship. It's one of the most popular ones in the school, even within teachers. Everyone calls it 'Naroki' which I think is a combination of both your names."

"Yeah, I think it is. I don't know anymore. I want to accept my feelings for him, but something's stopping me from doing it. I'm not sure what it could be apart from my dumb fear of abandonment."

Hey, fears of abandonment isn't dumb. It just proves you care a lot about other people, so you're doing your best to stick close to those who you like. Say, with that in mind, why don't you confess to Todoroki this weekend!"

"Absolutely not."

"Oh come on, you like the guy and he likes you back. You two would be a great couple and you two would make cute babies!"

"I'm not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon."

"C'mon, you know you want to bear his children. If you do end up having children, introduce them to me as Uncle Mirio!"

"No, leave me alone."

"Not until I get a proper answer from you."

"No, I'm not dating Todoroki. No, I'm not planning on having kids. No I don't like Todoroki that way. Now, please leave me alone?"

"You're lying. And, I won't stop annoying you until you give me a proper answer."

Togata started poking Nakashima's cheek, trying to get the answer out. She remained quiet and decided to block him out by reading her book. It carried on until they had to go to class. Togata left her alone for that majority. Uraraka noticed something off and started giggling.

"Rin, you have a dent on your cheek." Uraraka smirked.

"I do? I guess ignoring Todoroki for 2 years is finally paying off." Nakashima mumbled.

"She managed to ignore you that long?" Yaoyorozu whispered to Todoroki.

"Those were the most painful years if my life." Todoroki spoke.

"Everyone should be in their seats!" Aizawa yelled.

Everyone sat down as fast as they could in dead silence.

"Morning. Now that Midoriya is here, we'll go into more details about the work studies. Go ahead and come in." Aizawa said.

The door opened up and three people emerged. Two boys and one girl. They stood before class 1A.
