I woke up early in the morning, with Carol still cuddled up against me, her face buried in the crook of my neck. Her hair laid over her face, covering it up. I slowly reached my hand out brushing away the hair, to reveal the beauty I got to call my wife. Her eyes slowly started to flutter open, revealing her piercing blue eyes.
"Good morning, darling." Carol muttered from the crook of her neck. Her voice slightly raspy, and darker than it used to be.
"Mh morning." I looked down at her, as she removed her face from the crook of my neck. She gave me a quick peck, before we both turned to look out the window. It had finally began to snow. We both turned to the door, hearing small and excited footsteps coming towards our room, and soon the door flung open and Rindy came running towards the bed. I moved slightly so she could jump and lay between me and Carol.
"Morning Princess!" I wrapped my arms around her, and Carol attacked her face with kisses, earning giggles and squeals from the little girl.
"Morning Mama, and Mommy!" I still hadn't gotten used to being called Mama, I honestly never thought I'd have children, but here we are. Carol was still attacking the little girls face with kisses, and we both giggled along with the girl.
"Mommy! Stopppppppppp!" Rindy exclaimed through her never ending giggles. Carol rolled her eyes, placing one last kiss on her forehead before stopping.
"What do you want for breakfast, Princess?" I asked Rindy, and she put on her thinking face: eyebrows furrowed, her lips slightly pursed, with her index finger resting on her lower lip. Both Carol and I already knew the answer, but it was always fun seeing how excited Rindy got when she answered.
"Waffles!" Rindy paused, before continuing. "With strawberries, and syrup!" She seemed proud of her answer like she always did.
"Alright, Princess. Now you and Mommy have to get ready. Go get your dress, and wait for Mommy." I gave her forehead a peck, before heading downstairs. Rindy scurried off to her room, laying out what she wanted to wear, alongside her hairbrush, whilst Carol got ready.
After a while they both came down. Carol wrapped her arms around my waist and kissed my neck, just as I flipped the last pancake. "Darling, I am going to go buy a christmas present for Rindy after breakfast, is that alright? I will probably be gone for an hour or two." Carol whispered into my ear, so Rindy wouldn't hear.
"Is that even a question? Of course, it'll be alright, we'll be alright. Take your time, find a perfect gift for her." I smiled, before turning around and giving her a peck on the cheek.
"Now, as much as I like your hugs, you'll have to let me go so we can eat." I pointed out, lightly booping her nose, earning an eye roll from the older woman, before she let go. All three of us sat down and ate, Carol finished first.
"I have to go now, I'll be back in an hour or so." Carol smiled, giving Rindy's forehead a peck, and placing a soft and quick kiss on my lips. Rindy waved her goodbye, and so did I, as she walked out the door.
"Now, Rindy sweetie, what do you want to do, now that mama's gone?" I asked with a smile.
"I want to go outside, and play!" Rindy jumped up and down, before running outside.
A/N: I am sorry it took so long to update, and this chapter may be absolute trash. Next chapter will be written in Carol's point of view, as she goes to the store. I have a small idea of what to write in the next chapter, but please feel free to leave some suggestions/ideas or something you want to see in the next chapter. I probably won't write another chapter, unless I get at least one idea from someone. I'd also appreciate a comment or two about how you like the story so far.
