You wake up, your vision blurry and eyes half lidded, but quickly come to realize there is literal pounding on the roof. You look up scared, taken aback and confused to what's going on until you hear thunder echo through your ears, It sounded kind of like a bomb exploded. You immediately calm down, and groan in annoyance before laying back down and putting a pillow over your head, hoping and praying that it would magically cancel out all the noise so you could go to sleep. But, to no avail. You sigh sadly, honestly feeling to scream from frustration but calming yourself down and sitting up. Since you weren't going to be able to get to sleep for a while, you might as well watch some tv in the living room or something. But before you do that.. you look over to the bathroom door, and get up. You should probably use the bathroom, maybe take a shower if you were up for it.
Turns out you weren't, and got out of there fairly quickly. After all... it was like- four in the morning. You yawn softly, the pounding on the roof was still annoying but it was a lot less loud now you had gotten used to it. As you opened your bedroom door, and walked into the hall you started to realize that outside your room it sounded quite a bit louder, and then as you walked into the living room it sounded softer again? 'huh, how weird...' you thought, wondering what could cause this strange effect to be happening. You suddenly stop walking as you spot something on the floor. It seemed to be a static looking substance.. a bit freaked out, You walk over to it, inspecting it as you coco your head to the side like a confused cat. But soon, you realize it was most likely caused by ENA. "Uh oh.." you say to yourself, you know this wasn't a good sign as she only did this when she was distressed. You look around, wondering where she could be and suddenly you hear faint sobbing coming from the kitchen. You walk over to it, the sounds growing louder and Louder each step you took. As you look around the kitchen, you call out for her quietly. "Ena..?" You say worriedly, wondering what was wrong. You don't hear a response? But the crying continues. You look over to where the sound was coming from, and see her curled up under the kitchen counter. Half of her face was white, and the other half was black. This certainly wasn't good.. You move towards her slowly, and kneel down to her level. Upon closer inspection, She seemed to be shaking in fear, and her eye was static. The other seeming haven just pooled into thin air.. You reach out to her, and grab her shoulder gently "Ena?" You say again, this time a bit louder. This action causes her to panic, and She pushes you away from her. Backing up further into into the corner. She seemed, no.. she was totally out of it, not even recognizing it was you. But once she looked up to see who was there, the static in her eye stopped and her face returns to normal. She look at you, the blue side of her face talking. "(Y/N)? I-Is that yew?" She said in a feminine voice, whining as she spoke. You nodded softly, looking at her with a sad look in your eyes. You hated seeing her in this state, you truly did.. she soon starting to talk again, and relaxed a bit knowing it was only you. "I-I'm So Sowwy!" She started, tears starting to pool in her eyes as her shoulder slouched. "I shouwden't hawv pushed yew away like that!" She said, tears starting to overflow and fall out of her eyes. Her voice starts to sound more static like as she spoke once more."J-Just take mwe out alweady! End mwy suffewing!!" She said, obviously very, very distressed.
You weren't sure what to do at first, sort of shocked. she was crying static and going on and on about how bad she was, and how she didn't deserve you, but also about silly things that didn't even make sense, something about.. veggies? You honestly could hardly understand a word she was saying when she talked like this.
You grab her hand, making her snap her head up at you and stop what she was saying. Before she could speak again, though. You pull her closer to you and hug her tightly, "shhhh... you're okay." You say to her in a soothing voice, rubbing her back gently in an attempt to comfort her. She stops for a moment, before starting to sniffle and then cry again. She continues to sob into you shoulder, her tears were no longer static though. She doesn't say a word other than an "I'm sowwy"
You stop rubbing her back and start running your fingers through her hair. You had done this once before when she was going through an episode like this, and she seemed to cheer up almost instantly. Her hair, It's softer than one would expect, to be honest-
Eventually, ena stopped crying, and regained her composure. Soon, she also becomes aware of the situation. She moves away from you, a light blush on her face from sheer embarrassment "My apologies, my friend! I-I don't know what got into me." She says, her yellow side now speaking and her voice returning to its normal masculine state. She doesn't look you in the eyes, way too nervous to do so in his current moment. You smile gently, before giggling a little bit. You grab her hand softly causing her to snap her eyes back to you. "Hey, it's okay! I mean, what are friends for?" You say, a light blush dusting your cheeks, and your smile growing warmer. Her eyes widen a bit, and she stares at you seemingly taken aback by what you said, she opens her mouth but closes it quickly, not knowing what to say. This made you smile even more. Seeing her so flustered and out of character was probably the funniest, and most adorable thing you had ever seen. She always acted so.. so in character. She always acted in a certain way, and yet there were times where she would completely lose control of that and start stumbling over her words. Acting like she didn't even know what English was!
You both sat in silence for a few seconds, it was kind of awkward but also kind of enjoyable. Eventually, you spoke up.
"Hey."
Ena snaps out of her shocked state, and looks at you. waiting for you to continue your sentence. "Wanna watch another movie?" You say with a grin, hoping she would say yes. She looks at you for a second, before She shook her head and chuckled, looking back up at you and returning to her normal self. "Of course, my friend!" She said cheerfully, standing up and reaching her hand out to help you. You gladly take it, "Awesome! Let's go." You say and start walking, but quickly realize ena didn't follow. You stop in your tracks and turn around, looking at her confused. "Aren't you coming ena?" She looks over at you and smiles. "Yes! I'm simply going to get us some snacks." She said with glee. You smiled back at her, turned around continuing to walk. "Alrighty! I'll be on the couch waiting." You walk over to the living room and sit down on the couch, thinking nothing of it.
Meanwhile, though..
As soon as ena sees you leave, she lets her knees give away. She practically drops to the floor, her legs feeling like jelly. She sits with her back against the wall, and her face burns a Bright, Bright red. As she clutches her chest, her heart seemingly pounds out of her body. It was going so fast, she almost felt like she couldn't breathe. She lets out a deep sigh, taking a few breathes before placing her head in her hand and ruffling her hair. She smiles gently before closing her eyes for a moment, thinking back to what had happened. She thought of how you ran your fingers through her hair, she thought of how you smiled at her, she thought of the hug you two shared..
She opens her eyes flustered, and shakes her head trying to get you out of her mind. Looking down at her hands, Ena realized that they seem to be shaking. If it was From fear, nervousness, etc, she didn't know. All she knew was you had caused it, and for some strange reason? She loved every second of it. From the way you look, to the way you act. All of it makes her want to explode with butterflies. Shes gulps nervously, standing up and leaning against the kitchen counter for support.
'That was close'
She thought to herself, walking to the cabinet with wobbly legs and picking out some snacks.
'Really close.'
