Chapter 21

I close my eyes. Today will be the day of my imminent death. Cold, strong arms envelope me. I don't hit the ground or die! I slowly open my eyes. Its daddy!

"I have you. You will be safe. We are leaving immediately." He told me in a hushed tone. I was swiftly put into a car seat.

Within a matter of minutes, we are at the airport. Mommy grabs me and rushes me in. Everyone is there waiting at the gate.

The entire family boarded the plane and we were off. I'm sitting next to the window, on my right, and mommy, on my left. I'm tired, since I haven't had a propper sleep in a while. I lay on mommy's cold body and slowly fall asleep.

I wake up to soft music playing on a sterio. I'm laying on a comfortable bed with fuzzy blankets! I look around. There is only one person who could have decorated this room. Ali.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" I scream.

"Yes. What is it, baby?" I lift my arms to her.

"I just want to be with you."

"Okay," she walks to me. I climb into her lap. She holds me and cradles me in her arms.

"Where daddy?"

"The living room. Why?"

"I want to see him. And everyone."

"Okay. Family meeting in the living room." She yelled the last part. She carried me around to the living room. Everyone is here. Even Sethy! I climb out of mommy's arms and into Sethy's lap.

"I love you." I told him.

"I love you, too." He told me.

"I wanted to ask everyone a question."

"What is it?" Daddy asked.

"Are you all vampires? Like I was told?'

"Um… Who told you that?" Daddy asked. Everyone was worried.

"Daniel, Brita, and that one creapy guy in black at Emily's house!"
