Mystic Falls, Virginia
LockwoodCAMERON stared blankly at her laptop screen. Just staring at the picture. It would explain everything. It would explain why in the beginning her senses were nuts and she was able to smell and see if any other supernaturals were around her. She was able to distinctly smell is a human had vervain. Her dad, her brother, even herself had the same smell. Why she would get so angry so fast. Why her powers were out of control. It explains, everything.
After Lexi died, she couldn't see the auras or smell the same. She just thought it was something they new witches experienced. "I'm a werewolf." Cameron muttered, looking at Jeremy. Jeremy looked back at her. "My father was a werewolf. My brother is a werewolf. My Uncle is a werewolf," She paused, "Which even means, Grandpa Lockwood was a werewolf."
"But it says you have to kill someone to trigger the curse." Jeremy said. Cameron thought about it again, "Or I could go to the actual source."
"You're Uncle Mason?" Jeremy asked. Cameron nodded her head, "No way, what if we're wrong?" Cameron shrugged her shoulders, "We could always have him compelled to forget everything, It's not like vampires don't exist."
Jeremy thought about it for a bit, "He's probably on vervain." "You act like we can't keep him in the Salvatore's basement for a few days and wait for the vervain to get out of his system."
Jeremy glared at her, "That's wrong." "No, Jeremy, that's what we're forced to do now. Because that's the right thing we have to do. We kidnap innocent people and make them forget the monsters they saw."
"Are you even listening to yourself? You sound crazy." Jeremy tried to grip her hand, but she pulled it away, "Don't you get it?! That's the world we live in now! Werewolves, vampires, witches!" Cameron quickly began to pack her things.
"Cameron." Jeremy said. She just shook her head, putting her laptop into her bag, along with her notebook. "Cam?" Again she didn't say anything, just started walking to the front door.
Jeremy grabbed her arm this time, "Cameron!" She snapped out of it, closing her eyes, "What?" She muttered. "Just wait for Elena and Alaric to get back from Duke, we'll have the answers then."
Cameron looked back at Jeremy, "But I need to know, now," Jeremy looked down, everything could go bad, everything could get exposed. The choice was in his hands. Stefan and Damon would be gone but so would Bonnie, Tyler, Caroline, Cameron. Cameron.
Jeremy shook his head. Cameron looked down, "Then, I'm sorry about this." Jeremy was about to say something but Cameron was faster, "Morator!" Which caused Jeremy to move in slow motion. "I'm sorry." She apologized again, before walking out the front door.
Cameron drove to the water hole, seeing as her Uncle wasn't home. She honked her horn, Tyler walked up to Cameron's car, "Hey what's up?" Cameron rolled her window down all the way, "Have you seen Uncle Mason, Ty? Mom said she needed him back at the house to fix something in the house." She lied.
"Uh, yeah," He set his drink down next to the car, "He drove up that way, He's probably going on a run." Cameron nodded, "Okay, thank you." She went to go roll up her window. "You okay?" Tyler asked. Cameron looked up at her brother, "It's just," Tyler looked down, "For the past half year, I've heard you crying in your room. Every single night."
Cameron looked down, "Stress." Half truth. "Oh, yeah I get it. I get that way sometimes too." "Yeah. I'm gonna go get Uncle Mason before mom tries fixing it herself."
Cameron pulled up behind her Uncle Mason's car, letting a huge sigh out. Cameron got out of her car, closing the car door. "Cameron?!" Her Uncle called out, coming out of a broken down cellar.
Cameron waved to her Uncle, her nerves skyrocketed. "What are you doing out here?" Mason asked, getting closer to her. "I wanted to talk to you about something."
Mason raised an eyebrow. Cameron looked down at her sneakers, then back up to her Uncle, then she noticed his trunk wide open. A duffel bag was wide open, gigantic chains poured out of it. Her breath hitched in her throat, then she looked back at her Uncle Mason, "Mom said she needed help with something back at the house." Cameron spit out.
"Oh! Okay. Just let her know it's gonna be an hour before I'm back home. I'm about to go on my run." Mason smiled, giving the girl a hug. Cameron gulped, hugging him back.
"Seeya, kiddo." Cameron got back in her car, whipping away. Those chains were her confirmation. That's all she needed.
Jeremy glared at the girl when she entered the house. Cameron stopped the spell minutes after she left. "I didn't tell him. I didn't even ask him." Cameron looked down at her hands, "I got enough confirmation when I saw the chains in the back of his car."
Jeremy looked up at Cameron, "I got a call from Elena, she confirmed it all and then some."
"And then some?" Cameron sat down on the couch next to Jeremy. "Pretty much, the curse is triggered if you kill someone human. But that's not it, there's this whole other curse bounding werewolves to the moon as in the full moon, which is the only time they can transform, and the vampires to the sun, not being able to be in the sun without burning. But," Jeremy paused. "But?" Cameron asked.
"The bite from a werewolf can kill a vampire, but it's not one hundred percent confirmed."
Cameron looked at the floor, her whole world crumbled. "So if I trigger this curse or if Tyler triggers the curse, we're killer wolves."
"Pretty much."
"We have to make sure Tyler doesn't trigger the curse." Cameron said. "What about you?" Jeremy asked.
"I know about it, Tyler doesn't and I don't want him too. I want him out of this, he deserves a normal life." Cameron spoke sadly.
Cameron stared out the window, at the full moon. "Which means my Uncle triggered the curse, which would explain the chains."
"Every single Lockwood is cursed."
