The Start

(A/N: hi guys. Putting out a quick warning here. This will be a mature story with some touchy topics discussed though out so read with caution. There will be a slow build up to it being a Bucky x OC story with sprinkles of hints though out alone with a small amount of Steve x OC. Hope you enjoy)

*Explosions ringing out in the air*

"Specialist Stark! On your feet now"

Alaina jumped to her feet quickly throwing on her cap and grabbing her gun on the way out of the tent and out into the crossfire.

Running for cover, she didn't dare look around at the horrific scene unfolding around her. After getting to cover she aimed her gun taking a couple of shots she turned to see one of her battle buddies next to her "Stark, do you got an extra clip?" He asked unloading his gun.

Alaina reached into her leg pocket and pulled an extra clip and handed it to him. After turning back the pair heard the sound of a heavy metal object hitting the ground next to them.

Alaina looked at the object with horror before getting up quickly to run only to an explosions then everything went black.

"Ahhhhh!" She scream it out sitting up quickly looking at her surroundings. Tears flowing down her as she tried to calm down from the dream.

"Miss Stark? Is everything alright ma'ma?"

Laying back in her bed she takes a deep breath.

"I'm good... F.R.I.D.A.Y there's no need to inform him" Alaina reply's closing her eyes looks for peace.

"I'm sorry Ma'am but I already let your dad know" The A.I stated as her father rushed into the room.

"Hey kiddo" He said taking a seat on the large bed "Wanna talk about it?"

"Not really" Alaina said in a softly almost scared tone.

She heard her dad sigh before readjusting on the bed "I think you do you just don't know how to start"

Alaina sat up in the bed "Ok well how does the great Tony Stark deal with his PTSD? I know you get nightmares too dad..."

Tony nodded looking over Alaina's tear stained face before getting up and moving to the side of the bed "Well I have you don't I?"

Hearing those words Alaina broke down in tears and Tony pulled her into a hug.

"Tomorrow we are going to the compound. I think the Avengers will be that much better with you on the team" He said pulling away heading towards the door.

"Most of them don't know I exist. Won't that be awkward?"

"Yeah but entertaining, good night kid"

"Night dad"

The Avengers compound was built with the help of Tony Stark. It was equipped with training areas, mission briefing rooms, amazing high tech gadgets that where Tony's designs, hangers and living quarters. Alaina had only been here once when it was being built. She was amazed by the idea of this facility and grateful it wasn't a tower anymore.

She sat in the back of the town car with her father, headphones in drowning out Tony and Happys conversation as they pulled up to the compound. Happy exited the car first making his way around to open the door for the pair.

Once they got out of the car the two where greeted by Rhodey and a red being.

Alaina smiled at her dad before making her way towards them "Uncle Rhodey" She greeted hugging him.

"What's going on baby Stark, Tony" He pulled away from the hug and shook Tony hand before pulling him aside.

Alaina turned to the red man and extended her hand out for him to streak "Hi I'm Alaina"

"And I am the Vision" He replied in an all-too-familiar voice taking her hand.

Alena squinting her eyes and looked him over "Wow" She said

"Your Mr Starks daughter aren't you? The one who..." Before Vision could finish Tony cut him off "Vision good to see you... uh let's not over crowded Alaina with questions" He said leading Alaina inside.

"Alaina I'm heading in for a meeting why don't you walk around the place to get the layout down and I'll introduce you to the others later." Tony said walk off with Rhodey and Vision.

Alaina looked around her before replacing her headphones back in her ears and began walking around the compound taking in all the place had to offer til she came across the training room. She stopped for a moment and watched though the glass as a tall blonde man trained with a man who was wearing what looked to be wings. On the opposite side of the room she watched as two red headed one of which she recognized trained. She smiled to herself as she watched them all thinking of the possibility, only to realize the blonde man had seen her and was making his way over to the door. Her eyes widen as she quickly realize the man was Captain America and he didn't look to happy. She quickly turned on her heels and made a mad dash for the stairs. Making her way to the ground level and sprinted passed the training room door.

She was only a few feet away from the door when she heard it open so she quickly stopped in her tracks and turned to face him seeing as how he knew this place better then she did.

"Who are you and what are you doing in this part of the complex?" He asked crossing his arms over his chest looking her over.

"Umm... I... uhh, Captain America sir, I was told to walk around because my fathers in a meeting and... I'm really sorry" She said standing at the ready with her arms crossed find her back showing respect for the man standing in front of her.

Steve's angry expression turn to a curious one as he watch the girls countenance "What's your name?" He asked shifting from one foot the next next.

"Alaina!" Natasha call out walking around Steve to embarrass the girl he was interrogating "Its been awhile Girly, how have you been?"

"I'm good Nat thank for asking" Alaina said with a huge smile. Nat turned back to Steve as Sam and Wanda walked up behind him.

"Guys I'd like you all to meet Alaina , Alaina this is Sam and Wanda and this is Steve" Nat said resting her hand on Steve's crossed arm in hope of getting him to lighten up.

"It's nice to meet you" Wanda greeted with a friendly smile

"Ma'am" Sam said simply but with a smile as well.

Steve on the other hand was mesmerized by the way the girl looked. She was young but didn't seem too young at all. Her skin was like porcelain and her eyes where golden with hints of green, striking to look at. Steve looked over at Nat before looking back.

"You said you where here with your dad right?"

"Yes sir"

"Who's your dad?"

Before Alaina could answer Tony and Rhodey walked up to the group "Oh good we are all here. I'd like you all to meet my daughter"
