The day you met you're soulmate was so perfect it was ridiculous. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful spring day. Your best friend Nobara had been asking you to go see the cherry blossoms with her and check out the festival that accompanied cherry blossom season. You didn't have anything to do so you agreed. After checking the time you went through your daily routine and made yourself a quick breakfast.
Not wanting a wardrobe malfunction you decided to dress casually in a sweater and ripped jeans with some sneakers so your feet won't hurt after walking around.

At around noon, Nobara showed up at your door and you both set off for the cherry blossom grove. The walk was nice and sunny as you both caught up on what you'd been doing since you last saw each other. But as usual, Nobara brought up your soulmate again. "Hey Y/N have you met your soulmate yet?" She asked "No." "What does your tattoo say again?" "You're cute! Can I keep you?" Nobara laughed hysterically for a good five minutes. You just let her because honestly, that was a very cringey thing for your soulmate to say the FIRST TIME they met you. Still, you couldn't help a light chuckle from escaping you either. "Hopefully their looks make up for that tattoo right?" "Ha, you would say that Nobara." "Well, if MY soulmate was that cringe yes, I would wholeheartedly wish for them to be drop dead gorgeous."
You hummed in response upon realizing that you two had arrived at the grove. Looking to Nobara you both headed in to admire all the beautiful flowers. Nobara insisted upon taking pictures so you reluctantly agreed. The sun shone through the branches of the cherry blossom trees creating a beautiful golden aesthetic in your photos. In the middle of your last picture a dog ran past the two of you, and after giving each other a glance, you chased after it. It was a white Pomeranian and it happily leaped into your arms once it realized you had good intentions. Laughing the both of you cooed over the sweet puppy in your arms.
"HEY!"
The sound of a yell startled you and Nobara and you both turned to see a dark haired boy and a pink haired boy looking like they'd just run a marathon.
" Um, are you guys alright?" You asked somewhat cautiously. Nobara simply snickered at the disheveled appearance of the boys. The dark haired boy elbowed the pink haired boy and he coughed and sputtered out the words that would change your life.
"You're cute! Can I keep you?"
"Were you talking to me or the dog?" you laughed. Nobara's jaw dropped to the floor and the dark haired boy's did as well. It took you a second but you finally realized that the pinky in front of you just said the words that you'd been waiting to hear all of your life. Not wasting another second, he finally introduced himself.
"I'm Yuji Itadori and I'm your soulmate! Oh and that's my best friend Megumi Fushiguro." he said happily. You couldn't help but smile at his genuine excitement.
"I'm Y/N L/N, it's nice to meet you." you smiled back
"I was actually talking to you as I already own that puppy..." he admitted in a slightly flustered tone. Looking at the puppy in your arms you smiled and handed him back to his owner. Nobara and Megumi simply stood by watching the exchange between the two of you.
"This is honestly such a cliche way to meet but I wouldn't have it any other way." You admitted.
"I have to agree, I'm happy that I finally got to meet the love of my life. Aside from Jennifer Lawrence of course."
"What?"
"Did I say that out loud?! I'm so sorry!", he apologized profusely. Covering your mouth with your hand to hide a giggle you noticed Megumi and Nobara giggling as well so you turned to Yuji with a sunny smile and said,
"It's alright, I have a crush on Tom Holland so we're even!"
He looked relieved and even managed a laugh. Offering his hand out to you, he turned to meet your sunkissed face and said, "How about I make it up to you over some ice cream?"
Accepting his hand you smiled and replied, "That sounds great."
