CHAPTER~3 {The Mystical night}

Location: At the Office

After being an eternity late I finally reached my office

Everyone was looking at me mockingly.

With all the eyes looking at me in a spotlight , There were even a pair of eyes staring at me for my attention ,When Unintentionally my eyes met his and I saw the longing in his eyes for me.

That was Mathew my Ex-boyfriend my misfortune that he too works in this office and his present girlfriend disgustingly my Ex- best friend unfortunately works in my office.

I still can't figure out why does he keep on intensely stare at me or I wonder am I just over reading his intentions.

I went to my desk and was rummaging my files and Mihika walked to me with the file.

Mihika: This is the file for the meeting.

I took the file and opened it.

Lara: This is not the file for the meeting which is scheduled in the Morning.

This file belongs to afternoon's meeting so I just placed aside

Started searching .

Alina : No, you were late today .

None of them might not have informed you that the meeting Reschedule.

This once Preponed in the place of morning schedule.

My messed up disorganised life always brings problems and I didn't know the meeting schedule got switched.

I took the file from Mihika and rushed towards conference hall and barged in,

Lara : Good morning guys ,I am really sorry for the late

Traffic you see.

I started presenting.

In 5 minutes of the meeting, the clients walked out Sternly and left even after requesting failed to get them back.

'Meet me in the cabin' asked the boss

I suddenly got my eyes on MIhika smirking at me from a corner.

In the cabin

Boss threw the file at me

Boss: How irresponsible can you be?

Lara: I am sorry sir !

Boss: Sorry! really ?

Sorry my foot!!

Do you even have something called sense?

Lara : Sir that...

Boss: It's was just a waste to hire you.

Lara: (in mind) control !!

Boss: What have you done for company? (blabbing out of anger)

Do you think are you some princess over here!

Lara: (in mind ) control !

(Lara starts tapping her fingers on her folded arms relentlessly)

Boss: If you don't want to work, why don't you get married and sit at home like other women?

It was last nail in the coffin for Lara, she walks towards him and with a strong force places her one hand on the tables and grabs his tie and pull him with the other hand.

The boss was shocked with the sudden change in her action

Lara: You crossed your limits, Sir! I agree I was at mistake if you would have spoken to me about my mistake I would have listened to you. You just brought up unnecessary stuff and sexist remarks!
