I was sitting on the floor of my bedroom next to an unreasonably large suitcase. I was completely zoned out when suddenly I heard quiet knocking on my door. It was my mom.
"You can come in," I said.
She walks in my room.
"Hey, you almost finished packing for Japan?" she said.
"Yeah just about finished," I replied.
"Great, well get it done. We are leaving tomorrow morning," she continued.
"Yes mom" I said mentally rolling my eyes.
But somehow she could tell.
"What are you not excited for Japan?!"
She said, shocked.
"I am but...I don't wanna leave my friends"
I replied clearly upset.
"I know buddy, but it will be fun. I'm sure you will meet new better friends".
She said dragging out 'better'.
"Yeah maybe..." I said
"C'mon cheer up!"
She said.
With that she left the room.
