Ava's head was getting sick of the thick base drums blaring from the loud speakers which hung all over the living room from where she stood. The party didn't live up to the hype Jack had made. In fact this party was severely depressing. Rebecca pretend that she didn't exist for the whole week up to the party. If Taylor was here, he didn't care to seek her out. Her red cup she had picked up from the marble kitchen was ignored. Watching Rebecca across the room the fire of envy fueled Ava's body. Rebecca stood under the dim light, Her shiny brown hair bounced at every movement. Hands waving dramatically and throwing her head back effortlessly. She stood around a few boys from another school. Silver Rolex and Patek Philippe watches wrapped around tan colored wrists.Cuffed white shirts and red ties swinging around their crisp collared necks. Ava needed to be in the middle of those boys not Rebecca. Weaving her way in the crowd she inserted herself in another group right behind the boys. Scooting closer, Rebecca's words could be heard.
"So I heard you live in Blackwood, right?" one of the boys asked.Rebecca's high pitched giggle tore Ava's ears before she responded. "Unfortunately I do, I'm always scared, do you have any idea what it's like to live right next to people who are the reason for all the crime there?" One of the boys soothed her while Ava stood behind it all.
"And I mean sometimes I feel like the only one who knows what those kinda people are. All of my friends are so naive, I mean one girl, the one in the slutty outfit who came here with me, I guarantee she's like, from the 'other side' when she first came here she was all ratty and defending those people, it was disturbing.."
Ava hadn't realized she had been suffocating the rep cup until it snapped spraying the drink everywhere. The broken plastic cutting her hand sinking down in her flesh. Cool liquid soaked her clothes and the people by her, But none of that mattered. Rage was what only mattered.
She wasn't one for violence, in her opinion. She only liked watching it, doing it was a whole other matter. If only she could grab that thin throat, wrap her fingers around the vocal cord to cut off her pathetic voice,And just hold tighter until Rebecca became a lifeless shell of a human.
Her drink was now running into the cuts from the broken cup reminding her that she needed to clean up. calmly finding the bathroom she locked the door feeling the fast flowing water washing the red stains off her hand. Water still running, she gaze met herself in the reflection, eyes still keeping the anger. Rebecca may have the upper power but Ava wasn't going to let another person walk all over her.
Ava stayed in the bathroom until someone's banging forced her to seek a new hiding place. Getting lost in hallways Ava tried locating anyone of her liking. She landed in an empty hallway photos of long dead people in bronze frames. Her focus ended when low moans filled the hallway, the female's voice was high and rundown while the boy's were deep and hollow. The noises came from the pool room. The green table had the colored balls splayed all over and two people going hard at it. faces covered in euphoria and sweat. Their moans intertwined with rough cruses.
The boy seemed to be one of the fancy prep school boys from before, the girl's hair was all over the place but her voice seemed oddly familiar. Ava could only stay hidden in the door frame. Her vantage point wasn't entertaining. She slipped back into the hallway and continued her journey in the house.
She didn't make it very far when the two people fell out of the room. Their drunken laughs spilled over the other. The girl was pinned on the wall and her hair revealed the identity. Ava had never felt so much joy in seeing Rebecca's make-up smeared face. Neither Rebecca or the other boy noticed Ava take a few shots from her phone. Making it through a few more rooms Rebecca caught up to her. Face twisted in a lust gazed smile, her hair was a mess. Her steps uneven as she leaned on the wall.
