As you race up the stairs of your house your impatient friend shouts up to you that you only have 10 minutes until your beef and to hurry or you would be late. You race frantically into your room, smashing open the door. As you do so, 8 pairs of eyes lock into your state.
You have long brown hair with the front two strands bleached and dyed a deep purple which has been blown everywhere by the wind outside and you're sweating dramatically.
You stand there, staring back at the confused faces completely frozen in place when your friend calls up again.
"AKARI HURRY UP WERE FUCKING LATE YOU BITCH"
Your brother enters the room behind you and you turn quickly, flooring him in a swift move.
"you ever step foot in my room again without my permission and I will beat the shit out of you" you whisper in his ear as you step on his kneecap and grab your board from behind a grey haired boy.
"Sorry my rooms a mess, I wasn't expecting visitors" you address the others and race down to your friend, after kicking your brother in the stomach as you left the room.
"Damn Akari what we're you doing we're going to be late we have to be there in 4 minutes and it's a 15 minute drive!?" Your friend complains. You smirk slightly and grab the keys "mika, with my driving, we will be there in two" you wink.
"AKARI DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DRIVING YOU CRAZY BITCH" your brother shouts down the stairs
"WATCH ME BITCH" you scream running out of the door and dragging mika behind you. You peg it to the car and hop in the drivers seat, starting the engine and changing into gear in seconds. Your brother jumped into the back seat as you raced down the street.
"KOU YOU DICKHEAD HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET IN?!" you scream as you speed through the 30 lane
"BITCH I TOLD YOU NOT TO DRIVE"
"WELL WE ARE LAT— wait who the fuck..." you trail off as you see another boy in the car.
"His name is Osamu, I couldnt leave him with Atsumu because otherwis-"
"Kou shut the fuck up I didn't ask for his life story I just asked who he was" you replied as you drift round the corner.
"BOOM 2 MINUTES BITCH WE ARE EARLY" you scream as you race into the parking spot.
You step out of the car and turn to see mika throw up into the nearby grass.
"AKARI YOU ARE NEVER DRIVING AGAIN" kou shouts as he wobbles on his feet.
About a minute later another car drifts into the parking lot next to yours and the boys from your room all step out looking queezy apart from one boy, he was tall and had brown hair with pretty eyelined eyes.
"UuuuuuuuuuuuUgh, suna what the fuck man" Bokuto complains
"Damn kuto you really are a pussy huh" you tease.
"Not everyone's a little masochist like you dumbass" he sulks as he engulfs you in a hug.
"Be careful Akari, try not to do anything too stupid" Akashi says as he joins the hug
"Thanks dickheads but I'll be fine, but why the hell did you come"
"Kou ran after you and we never miss your beefs so we got suna to get us here as soon as he could" Akashi responds
"Sweet, well I'm late so I'll meet you guys after, ICECREAM WHEN I WIN" you shout as you run off to the track after grabbing your board.
"Can she stop stealing all of my fucking friends" kou mumbled to himself
"Technically, we only met you because of her so if it wasn't for her we wouldn't be friends" Akashi responds which gets a burst of laughter from Bokuto
"Damnnnnn Kou, jealous much" he laughs before dragging Akashi off to find the best spot to watch from.
The brown haired boy with pretty eyes gets attacked by Osamu who jumps on him and hugs him tightly.
"Sunnnnnaaaaaaa"
"What Sumu"
"She drives even better than youuuu" he teased
"Mhm. I saw" he responded dryly
"Omg- OMG SUNA ADMITTED A GIRL SMOKED HIM AAAAAAAHAAHAHAHAGAGAGGHAHAH" Atsumu (Osumu's twin brother) laughs which receives the same response from his brother.
"You guys piss me off" he mumbles and heads in the same direction as Bokuto and Akashi.
The bright display screens flashed on suddenly and the announcer blasted out of the speakers
"WELCOME EVERYBODY, PLEASE GET READY FOR THE BATTLE THAT WILL DETERMINE THE STANDINGS OF OUR SKATERS; DRAGONFLY, WHO IS OUR CURRENT FOUNDER AND BEST SKATER AND ALSO THE LADIES FAVOURITE VS BLOSSOM THE LITTLE GIRL WHO SMOKED OUT KAI IN HER FIRST RACE, PLACE YOUR BETS NOW AND GET TO A VIEWING PLATFORM THERES 4 MINUTES BEFORE THE BEEF BEGINS"
"Shit, this shit for real huh" Kou says as they all stand huddled together in the viewing platform
"No shit Sherlock now shut the fuck up" Bokuto says, rolling his eyes
"Damn you moody-"
"KOU SHUT UP FOR REAL" Akashi shouts
"She often gets hurt and this track is leathal" Suna states before heading back to his car and sparking his j.
'I though she looked familiar' he thought to himself before taking back the psychedelic smoke.
The lights blared red and your heartbeat increased rapidly as you felt the chills of anxiety tickle your spine. You smiled, comfortable with the rush of adrenaline which was pumping through your body. You were scared and it was almost paralysing, but you loved it. You embraced it, titling your head backwards feeling the cold air hit your face and inhaling the icy air. As you straightened you face back down you positioned yourself ready and before you knew it, you were racing forwards, flinging your board out and landing on it immaculately, pulling in front of your rival under the illumination of the green light.
Finally, you felt alive again.
