Bittersweet - Mingyu

You have been lying on your bed on a long weekend. Its too boring without your bestfriend Mingyu. That asshole has been ignoring you lately. You want to kick his ass so hard that he remembers me till his death.
You were amidst of cursing when you heard your phone buzzing.

"Asshole! Did you get time now?", you almost screamed.

"Y/N... I have news...", he said hesitantly.

"Yeah??? Is everything alright?", you asked in a concerned tone.

"You know I liked a girl from my office...", he started talking about his old crush.

"Yeah! What about her?"

"I have been dating her since last 6 months..."

"What??"

"I am sorry Y/N. I know we are bestfriends. I shouldn't keep anything from you but she wanted to keep it a secret."

"Congratulations Kim Mingyu. We officially break our friendship today."

"Y/N.. I-"

You hung up the phone while tears flow down your eyes.

"Why? Why? Why did he have to do this to me?"

Yoi lied on your bed wetting the pillow with your tears, when you heard the doorbell. You wiped tears and peeped through the keyhole to see Gyu standing outside.

"I told you we aren't friends anymore.", you shouted without opening the door for him.

"Y/N listen to me. Please open the door.", he tried turning the knob but to no good. So he sat by the door resting his head on the door and continued.

"I will be sitting here until you calm down and take me in."

"Stay there for a decade and I am still not going to open this door for you. You liar.", you too sat down waiting for him to leave.

"Y/N.. I know you are sitting behind the door. I just wanted to tell you that I love her seriously and I couldn't tell you before. I really feel guilty for this. I know we have been bestfriends for a long time. You should have been the first time to know. Believe me, I was dying to tell you this but I wanted to surprise you. I wanted to show you that your useless friend can date a woman. At first I wasn't that sure but now I am. She has become an important part of my life. We decided to marry by the end of the month. I hope you will come to bless us."

He stood up. Before leaving he said, "I came to give the invitation to you. Hope you will make it to the wedding."

He slid the invitation into the mail box and left. You slowly opened the door and took out the invitation.
A small tear left your eye when you saw it was really happening.

"Why do I feel bad seeing you guys together? I always rooted for you Gyu. But why does my heart ponder seeing you with another woman. Why are you getting away from me?", you said to yourself. But somehow made your mind to attend the wedding.

Wedding Day

You quitely entered the hall while there was a lot of hustle bustle inside. It was hard to be there but you had to do this for him. You made your way into the groom's room.

"You came!!", he looked happy seeing you.
You can't ruin his special day so you let out a smile hiding all the pain.

"Could you help me with this tie?", he handed his messy knotted tie.

You quitely snaked his tie round his collar and was knotting it when he hugged you. Over! It was all over. Tears dwelled.

"Y/N... let out everything. Cry how much you want. No one will see you."

He patted your head and softly caressed your hair.

"Gyu... I love you.", you finally confessed.

"Please be happy with her.", you continued.
"I should have been the bride today if I mustered some courage before. Now its too late. I totally regret this Mingyu."

"Thanks for coming today.", he said while wiping his tears. You realised he was crying too.

*time skip*

It was the time for the wedding. You sat in the audience. The host started the event smoothly.

"Here comes the groom.", he said pointing towards the big door which opened. Mingyu slowly walked down the aisle. Soon the bride followed. They were infront of the priest when he said it was time to take vows.

Priest : "We gathered here today in this joyous occasion of Kim Mingyu and Kwon Sooyoung's marriage. Mr Kim Mingyu please repeat after me... I Kim Mingyu..."

"I Kim Mingyu... "

Priest : " Take Kwon Sooyoung... "

"Take Jeon Y/N..."

"What?", you looked surprised at Mingyu.

"Surprise!!!!", the members (svt memebers) popped out of the blue.

"What are you guys doing here?", you asked them.

"I am sorry Y/N. Since you never took the initiative, I thought you never loved me. I did date Sooyoung but soon we realised that we weren't made for each other. Everytime I was with her, I only thought of you. I finally got this epiphany. I planned this surprise wedding just for you and me. Jeon Y/N will you marry me...", he bent down on his knees.

"Yes I will..."
