I lay in my bed and cover my face with my hand. I then swipe my hand away and look up at the ceiling. It's still white. Like its been for the past 2 hours I've been laying here, staring at it.

Too many thoughts all at once. Abortion is definitely not an option, I'm strongly against it. I could put the baby up for adoption? Then it really hits me all of the sudden.

No matter what, this baby is going to grow inside of me for 9 months, and it will come out of me. It'll be MY baby. My blood. My baby girl or boy.

Tears fill my eyes again, but are interrupted by my cell phone going off.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey, babe. What's up?" it was Alex.

My heart race sped up.

Oh, nothing. Just laying in my bed thinking about what to do with our baby.

"Oh, just laying down. I'm really tired. What about you?"

"Nothing, really. Just got home from football practice."

There was silence. Then he spoke up again.

"Let's hang out."

"I-I I'm really tired though," I stuttered.

"Please, babe? We haven't spent time together alone for like, 3 weeks. I'll even be happy to just take a nap with you. I just...really wanna be with you."

My heart fluttered.

"Well, okay." I finally said.

"Yes!" he said. " Are you coming over to my house?"

"Yeah. I'll be over in 10."

"Okay, Jewls. See you soon!"

"See ya."

*.*.*.

I lay on Alex's bed and close my eyes.

"Babe," he whispered. I feel his warm breath on my neck.

"Yeah?"

"I love you. So much."

I gulp hard.

"I love you, too Alex."

He grabs me from behind so that my back is to his chest.

I love spooning. It makes me feel secure; like nothing can hurt me.

"Alex?" I ask,my voice shaking.

"Hmm?"

"I- I need to tell you something."

"Okay?" he sounds hesitant.

"I... Um..."

"Oh, god." he sits straight up in his bed. I roll to my back and look at him.

Does he know what I'm about to say?

"You're breaking up with me!" he puts his hands on his face and sighs deeply.

"What? No! I'm not breaking up with you." I sat up and took his hand in mine and leaned against him, resting my head on his shoulder.

"Oh, thank god." he says. "Then what were you going to tell me?" he looks me in the eyes.

No. I can't tell him. He's got plans for his future. He's going off to college next year. He has a football scholarship to a really great college. I can't just mess up his plans because of this.

"I..it's nothing." I lie.

He gives me a questioned look.

"Really, it isn't." I say. "Can we just take a nap? I'm super tired."

"Um..yeah."

I lay down and Alex does the same. He puts his arms around me and I drift off to the sound of his steady heartbeat.
