A month had passed since their date at the Cafe. They regularly texted and hung out, almost always going on Saturday dates.

George had taken up Dreams offer to play Minecraft from when they first started talking at the party, staying up late and playing in survival worlds together, trying out each other's codes. The brunet had gotten Dream into joining him at the coding clubs meeting, every Thursday.

George had slowly started to get used to being surrounded by frat boys, seeing as he often went over to the blond's place to pick him up when they'd go out, or if he and Dream were just hanging out afterward up in the tallers room. George had defiantly gotten along with Sapnap, no matter how much he wouldn't admit it. The raven-haired male had actually joined them a few times when they'd play Minecraft, testing out new plug-ins and seeing how everything was going.

Dream and George hadn't made anything official quite yet, still jokingly flirting back and forth, well mostly Dream would, and George would tell him to shut up. They both enjoyed their dynamic they built together, but the underlying want of more seemed to weigh heavy in their stomachs. They just wanted to be together, but they didn't know when would be a good time. So, each date would usually go the same. Cuddling afterward and then waking up with a smile, whichever leaving and going to their own place.

But tonight had gone differently.

Dream had planned it out for the two since they usually took turns. It started with the diner, Claire greeting them and getting them their black tea and iced coffee, running into Niki and talking casually with her till she had to leave.

"They have the best ice coffee" the blond brought up, taking the last sip of his drink. The brit had only tried it once since he's never really liked coffee.

"They have the best black tea, the cafe in the library doesn't even compare, too watery" George shakes his head disappointedly, finishing off his drink as well.

The golden hour glow from the setting sun washed in through the windows, cascading a warm glow that made both the brunet and blond shine. They looked at each other admiringly before the brown-eyed boy started to feel how warm his cheeks had grown, coughing awkwardly and looking down at the table, only looking back up when Dream started to talk.

"I have some more planned if that's alright?" he asked, receiving an eager nod in return and the brunets warm smile returning, instead of just his embarrassed grin.

They went outside, looking over at the sky. Even if George couldn't appreciate the sky for all its colors, he still enjoyed the fun ombre's he could see. The sky had been super interesting to him, space in general, really.

After a few more moments they head to the car, Dream driving to the surprise place he had planned to take them. Music played in the car, chosen by George this time, and he couldn't help but smile the whole ride, cheeks hurting from how genuinely happy he felt. He felt like that normally with the taller boy.

It took a short amount of time for them to arrive at the place that the green-eyed boy parked at, especially because they went to a college extremely close to the beach. The place he had parked at had a beautiful view of the setting sun over the ocean, the dark blue glowing with pinks, oranges, and yellows. The sky wasn't extremely cloudy, but the clouds in the sky only added to the view.  The clouds reflected off the same bright pinks that the sun provided, and Dream put the car in park, turning to look at the shorter boy.

"I understand if you don't feel ready yet... but, I've been thinking a lot. Will you be my boyfriend?" Dream asked hesitantly, looking slightly down at the other seated boy. The atmosphere felt thick as the boy awaited a response, his face flushed and hair messy from anxiously playing with it.

"I-i... I think I'm ready. So, yes, id love to be" George moved his right hand to rest on the other on top of the center console, looking at each other the same way they looked at the sky, as if the other hung the stars in the pitch-black night, the white dots being a painting for them to adore, the same way they do with each other.

Both boys started to lean in, kissing each other for the first time in a little over a month. They had been holding back the whole time, wanting to decide what they were before doing anything more than cuddeling. They both felt lit alive when their lips met, feeling like waves lapping onto the beach. Touching the sand and being united with its partner.

They continued like that in the car for longer than either would like to admit, finally doing what they had been thinking about for over a month. Dream drove to George's dorm, going upstairs with him, only for both to realize Karl and Quackitys were hanging out with Sapnap. Ever since George started going to the DSMP house, his bestfriend had gotten along very quickly with the Texan.

The brunet stepped inside fully, letting the other walk-in before closing the door behind him. The taller leaned down once again, holding the boy's waist this time and pulling him in.

"Is it alright if we... continue?" Dream asked, once again hesitantly. There was more than enough room for the other to decline, and George had never felt so safe in someone's arms. He nodded his answer to the other boy, but that didn't seem to be enough. "Words baby" Dream said much more confidently now, a small smirk spreading across his lips and George squeaked out an almost broken 'y-yes'.

Waking up felt blissful, laying in his lover's arms and not worrying about the world around him. This all felt perfect, here as the morning sun shone through the window, reminding him of last night at the diner.

Dream woke up soon after him, leaving after an hour and a half since he had to help Sapnap out with something. The blond gave him a soft goodbye kiss, squeezing his hand since George had held onto it when he opened the door and asked very shyly for his kiss.

George laid down on his bed, in his empty dorm, looking up at the flag that reminded him of his and Dreams cafe date, when they had really started to get closer and closer. After that date, something in George screamed to just trust the blond boy, that he's different, that this would all be ok.

And he truly believed it over the course of that wonderful month.

Until now, about thirty minutes after Dream had left, when he received a text from the other.

The simple sentence "You really thought, huh? i love a challenge, and you were a dare i couldn't resist"

He looked away from his phone, and back to his ceiling, a sob being ripped from his throat.
