The yellow morning light from outside shone through his window, the curtains were drawn open because he forgot to close them before he went to sleep, stirring him awake and convincing him to get out of bed.
When he got home from the diner last night, he was greeted by an already sleeping roommate, so he quietly changed into pajamas and went to sleep, since he'd have another long day today.
George's plans were to go to the local library down the street and check out a few new books, as well as going over to his computer science professor, and asking when the coding club would be starting up. He also wanted to stop by whatever store was on the way and grab something to drink.
He sat up in bed after running his schedule through his mind, and he changed into some jeans and a sweater before leaving the house, wallet, and keys in hand, phone in his back pocket. It was only 9:30 am, so the library would open in about thirty minutes, the drive only being about ten.
Not wanting to wait in his car for twenty minutes, he decided to head down to his professor first, since his office hours were from 9 am-4 pm, before the semester started. The walk wasn't too far, and since he's had the same professor since freshman year, he knew the route to his office pretty well. Plus, he wasn't too anxious to talk to him or anything.
After finding out that it'd be starting in about a month into the semester, he went back over to where the dorms were since the parking lot was behind the building full of rooms.
He got to the library at 10:45, walking in and going over to the classic literature section. Scanning the shelves of books, he heard talking from further down the aisle, seeing a certain boy looking at the top shelf of books.
"Dude, I know you don't want to go, but come on! It's one of the biggest parties we throw, you have to come" Sapnap was leaning against the shelf of books, arms crossed.
"How many times do I have to say 'I don't want to?', besides you all are gonna end up getting drunk and super hungover, and I don't feel like dealing with all that, while I'm hungover myself" Dream retorted, pulling a book down and reading the first few sentences, before putting it off the side, stacked on another book by his backpack.
Seeing Dream at a library was kind of surprising at first. English major aside, he's still in a frat, George doesn't think he's ever seen a frat boy read anything other than their text messages.
"Then don't get drunk! Problem solved!" the dark-haired boy exclaimed, smiling and clapping his hands once as if he's had some sort of revelation.
"Ugh, if I go down to the first floor of the house during the party for... an hour max, will you leave me alone?" the taller groaned, looking at another book and then putting it back up, grabbing the two he already got and slinging his bag onto one of his shoulders.
"...two hours."
"one hour."
"an hour and a half."
"one hour."
"Ughhhhh fine, your so stubborn" Sapnap groaned, giving up.
They both started to walk down the aisle, towards the end that George was on. The brit tried his best to make it look like he wasn't eavesdropping, reading the back of some random hardcover book.
There was a part in the rug that ran down the aisle that was lifted slightly, that Dream ended up half-tripping on, stumbling forward a little and dropping his books, after smacking into George.
"Oh I'm so sorry" Dream began to apologize, squatting down to grab his books.
"It's alright, don't worry about it" the brunet replied in a nonchalant voice, sitting down as well and grabbing the book closest to him.
