[Chapter Twenty Nine]

Tw: Homophobia
It was that same Friday that everything went down.
Hyunjin's and Seungmin had been glued all damn week. The taller would steal him kisses no matter where they were, almost not holding back in front of their friends, but still managing to act normal enough for none of them to question any behaviors.
That Friday, though, Seungmin and Hyunjin were alone, sitting at a bench in a quiet park, the shorter had his head on Hyunjin's shoulder and their hands were intertwined on his lap, while the children played in front of them.
"I miss being a child.", Seungmin talked, after a while.
"I do too. But I think our reasons are different."
Seungmin sighed.
"He was so much better back then, he only started losing it when I was about 10.", Hyunjin pulled their intertwined hands up and kissed his. "He started slow.", the younger scoffed, staring at a father and a son, having fun by the swing. "At first it was just hard pushes and stuff, he only laid his hand on me at 13, but he never stopped since."
"Seungmin, why don't you leave?"
The shorter wiped a tear away, turning to face Hyunjin.
"I'm not brave enough, he is my father.", he choked on his own words, but didn't break down.
Hyunjin nodded, not wanting to push anything else and leaned to kiss his forehead.
"Have you seen this shit?"
They both turned to the voice, staring at two men that had their children on their laps, one playing and the other sleeping.
"Disgusting, isn't it? People now think it's normal."
Hyunjin closed his eyes fiercely as Seungmin shed another tear, not allowing himself to more.
"Let them be, I hope they suffer from it."
"They do, or do you think their asses are okay?"
They laughed loudly and Hyunjin shook his head, getting up and signaling Seungmin to follow him.
"I hope they wake up and see what's correct before they go and bring in hell."
"They will anyway, imagine all the nasty things...."
They couldn't hear anymore.
Thankfully.
Seungmin and Hyunjin walked quietly all the way to the first boy's house, far away from each other.
The shorter bit his lip and they stopped at his house.
"I'll see you tomorrow?", it was almost a whisper, mixed with uncertainty.
Hyunjin nodded, although he hesitated, and smiled, leaving.
Seungmin felt his heart break in a thousand tiny pieces.
He hadn't even look him in the eyes.

Tw: Bullying/ Violence
Seungmin left the library at 6pm, after crying his eyes out and trying his hardest not to wet all the books he started reading, without succeeding in finishing any of them.
Hyunjin hadn't been to school that day, neither had Changbin, or Jeongin.
Each with their own problem, the group had drifted away for those hours, settling in smaller groups, meaning his group was himself.
He spent the whole day overthinking, texted Hyunjin a hundred times and tried to tell himself the boy had to be sleeping to not answer him.
But he knew better.
It was when he turned a hall, next to the cafeteria, that his senses spiked up.
The first impact was with the wall, and by the pain, he already knew he was going to have his nose bleeding. The next one was a kick to his back, making him scream and turn in the ground, only to see those smiles he hated and had almost forgotten about.
"Finally you made time for us.", the first senior grinned, kicking his stuff away.
"You and your new friends have been having a lot of fun. Hanging with mister popular? How cute.", the second guy punched him harshly, not giving him time to get his view back again before aiming for his stomach. Seungmin curled into a ball as they spat some random insults he couldn't understand.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing? Fuck off!" For Seungmin, the voice was distant, but an arm curled around him and his whole body was lifted and taken away. He let his head fall. "Seungmin? Hey, Seungmin?", the shorter opened his eyes slightly to stare at Chan, who carried him to a bed on the infeirmary.
"N-no-"
"Don't. No one is here I need to be the one to help you, don't worry, no one else is seeing."
With that comment and a feeling of both sadness and relief, Seungmin drifted to sleep as Chan whipped his new bruises.
