Chat noir's pov

I couldn't help but feel sad about ladybug rejecting me again. Maybe it was time for me to move on. I decided that I would just go watch the sunset by myself on the eiffel tower.

"Plagg, claws in." I said once I reached my destination. I sat down to watch the sunset as plagg sat on my shoulder. I handed him a piece of camembert from my pocket and he immediately shoved the whole thing in his mouth.

"wow, ladybug rejected you again ?!" plagg joked as some of the cheese he was chewing flew out of his mouth.

"I think its time I try to move on plagg, she's been rejecting me for so long. She's clearly never going to be interested." I stared out into the setting sun and realized that I wasn't ready to go home yet.

"Plagg, hurry up and swallow that cheese, we aren't going home yet."

"But the sun is already most of the way down. Aren't you tired ?"

"I'm not ready to go home yet," I looked back over at Plagg and saw that he was done chewing his camembert.

"Plagg, claws out!"

I was jumping across roofs when I smelled the faint scent of fresh cookies and saw a girl standing on a balcony. I realized that it was my just friend Marinette. She was leaning on the rail staring off at the tiny bit of sun still peeping out in the distance. She looked a bit sad. I jumped over and landed behind her.

She jumped a little at the thud I made when I landed.

"hey, chat noir. You scared me a little." She gave a slight smile as she turned around to face me.

"oh, I'm sorry purrincess." I smirked.

"Oh no, don't start with the cat puns!" she giggled.

"But why purrincess. I purrsonally believe that they are purrfect and paw-sitively pawsome. Me without my puns would be a cat-astrophe!" The sound of her giggling made me happy, it was cute. I guess thats what having friends is about though, right ?

"So, what are you doing here kitty? don't you have superhero things to do?" she asked after she stopped laughing.

"Well, I was patrolling by myself and I noticed that you looked a little bit sad. I just wanted to see if my princess was okay." It wasn't a complete lie. I didn't really have anywhere specific that I was going when I noticed Marinette.

"O-h.. yeah, im okay. I am just kind of sad that I didn't get to see the movie I was going to watch with my friends earlier." she smiled, "it's fine though, there will be plenty more opportunities. Would you like a cookie though ? I just baked them and I assume patrolling made you a bit hungry." she asked, pointing to the plate of cookies, clearly trying to change the subject of our conversation.

but why did it make her so sad that we didn't get to watch the movie ? and why didn't she watch it without me ?

" I'd love a cookie purrincess but why are you so sad about not seeing this movie ?" I walked over and grabbed a cookie.

"w-well.. uhm.. no reason, I just uh.. really wanted to spend some time with adrr- all of my friends. haha yeah but its fine." she smiled a big grin.

"well, what if we watch the movie together ?" I didn't even think before I answered, I just wanted to cheer her up. I don't like seeing her sad so since I was part of why she felt like this, I wanted to make it up to her.

"Like right now ? I think the movies are closed by now and wouldn't it be weird if people saw us hanging out anyway ?" she was rambling.

"I mean, couldn't we just watch it here and right now ?" I asked with a smirk.

"uh.. well, I guess." she seemed confused but pleased with my response as she walked over to the trapdoor leading to her bedroom.

"come in" I shoved the cookie in my mouth and followed her inside.
