(A/n: This photo is still so cute Yoongi looks so tiny, next to Namjoon. My heart!!!
It is currently 2:30 in the morning and my neighbor is being very disrespectfully loud. I figured I would do something kind for you guys and drop this chapter early! I wrote it yesterday along with the next 3 chapters. Enjoy <3 )I wake up to the shrill sound of my alarm. The dull pain in my forehead became very apparent as I looked at my phone screen to turn the alarm off. I pull myself out of bed, leaving Hoseok to continue sleeping. I take a quick shower in an attempts to wash the impending hangover off of me. I step out the shower, quickly drying my body and wrapping my hair up in a soft towel. I slide into my work clothes for the day, before removing the towel from my hair and putting my after shower products in it. I walk out to the kitchen, peeking at the still sleeping on my couch. I grab the Tylenol out of the medicine cabinet, taking a few tablets. I put the bottle on the counter in case either of the two guys need any. I press the start button on the coffee pot and feel myself smile as the smell of coffee starts to fill the kitchen. I start to make a simple breakfast for the three of us. By the time I finish, Hobi is emerging sleepily from my bedroom.
Hoseok: "I smell food."
"Since when do I not cook?"
I pour him a cup of coffee, adding some creamer before putting it in front of him.
Hoseok: "And I get coffee. I have an amazing best friend."
I giggle a little.
"I'm going to wake up Jimin. Help yourself to anything, including the Tylenol. I had a bit of a headache when I woke up this morning."
I walk into the living room flipping the light switch on. I put my hand on Jimin's shoulder and gently try to shake him awake.
"Jimin, I made breakfast you need to get up and get ready for work."
Jimin groaned loudly, opening his eyes briefly before wincing at the light. I quickly flipped the light back off.
Jimin: "Thank you. Do you have any Tylenol?"
"Yes. Now come eat it will help."
Jimin stood and walked into the kitchen sitting next to Hobi. I grabbed a mug to make him a cup of coffee.
"Do you want cream or milk in your coffee?"
Jimin: "Cream, I can't drink black coffee. Shit tastes like death."
I giggle a little and make a cup. I bring the mug and the bottle of Tylenol over to him and take Hobi's mug to refill it. We all finish up eating breakfast and from what I can tell Jimin is feeling much better. We all head our separate ways to go to work. Jimin leaving a bit earlier than Hobi and I, seeing as he had to go home to get dressed for work. Hobi and I left for work at the same time.
As I pull into my parking spot, the memory of what happened in the court house yesterday flooded my mind; destroying my bubble of suppression. I take a few deep breaths before grabbing my purse, stepping out of my car. I enter the building, saying a few "hellos" to colleagues in passing. I step into my office sliding my shoes off and sitting in my chair. I started up my computer before going the papers on my desk. I type my password into the computer, opening up my email to clock in and check my daily tasks.
There is one email at the very top that caught my attention immediately. The tagline read "IMPORTANT". I opened the email quickly skimming over it before standing. I slide my shoes onto my feet zipping them up before walking as calmly as I could out of my office. I walk to Mr. Kim's office stopping in front of his receptionist.
"I received an email from Mr. Kim asking me to come here when I get to work today."
Receptionist: "I will let him know you are here."
She pushes a button which makes a buzzing noise. Mr. Kim quickly opens his door and looks at me with distain in his eyes. His teeth clenched and his jaw flexed. the contempt clear in his eyes as he looked into his face.
Namjoon: "Come in Miss Hyun."
He closes the door behind me before walking around his desk. He sits in his chair and looks over analyzing my face. The longer he looked at me the stronger his anger seemed to be. I feel a knot growing in my throat. The vicious appearance of his stare making me feel small as my anxiety grows.
"How can I help you Mr. Kim?"
My voice shakes as I speak to him. I see a slight smirk appear on his lips before he quickly tucked it away. He leant forward on his desk.
Namjoon: "Miss Hyun, care to explain your quality of work recently?"
"May I ask what you are referring to, Mr. Kim."
He shifted in his seat and grabs a piece of paper. He clears his throat before speaking. He lists off the mistakes I have made making the lump in my throat grow with anxiety.
Namjoon: "So again, would you care to explain?!"
His frustration was clearly growing, and his grip on the arms of his desk chair tightens.
"I am sorry Mr. Kim, I am still adjusting. I will do better from now on. If needed I can ask Mr. Park for help."
Namjoon: "Mr. Park has enough work on his own. If you cannot keep up with the work load I am assigning you now, how are you going to keep up when I am not giving Mr. Park half of your work load?"
"I sincerely apologize, I will do better."
Namjoon: "As of right now, you are on probation. One more mistake you will no longer have a position at my company. I hope I am clear. Starting Monday, you will be receiving the average work load and Mr. Park will no longer be covering your ass. Now you may want to go, you have a lot of work to get done today. Which better be to my expectations."
"Thank you for another opportunity Sir. I will live up to your expectations."
