13-More Flashbacks

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Jake waited for Sunghoon outside. The man arrived, immediately intertwined their hands. Jake looked at their hands.

"Let's go?"

Luckily, Jake left his car as he was fetched by Jay so they are going to enter Sunghoon's car.

"Seatbelts please."

Jake rolled his eyes at him.

"I know. It's not like I'm not driving."

Jake put his seatbelt. Just as he was finished, Sunghoon leaned to him. He backed away.

"What?"

Sunghoon fixed his already fixed seatbelt. Face inches apart, Jake should've seen it coming.

Sunghoon kissed him on the cheek.

He froze. He can hear Sunghoon's laugh but that didn't matter to him at the moment. Images flashed. And he was being drawn in.

The two are hugging, Kyunghoon and Daeyun. Breaking from the hug, the two faced each other.

"I love you."

"Jake?"

"I love you more."

"We'll see each other again right?"

"Jake can you hear me?"

"I know that we will. And when that time comes, I will always find my way to you."

"Yah! Jake!"

And Kyunghoon kissed Daeyun. The scene was amazing. Jake just stood there. Watching them. He blinked as the tears fell from his cheeks.

"JAKE!!!"

He looked at Sunghoon. Worry was evident on Sunghoon's face. He went closer again, but this time, to wipe Jake's tears.

"Why are you suddenly crying?"

Sunghoon's voice was suddenly soft. It calmed Jake down and yet it made him cry more.

"Hey. Don't cry."

Jake didn't replied. Instead he pulled away from Sunghoon's touch, the man understanding his reaction.

The ride was silent. Even when they are already there. Just the two of them, laying on the grass, staring at the sky.

Sunghoon looked at the man beside him. Jake had stopped crying now. But his eyes looked puffy.

"So....."

He searched for his words. He wanted to talk to Jake. He just wants to talk to Jake.

Waiting for him to continue, Jake looked at Sunghoon. Now that their eyes had meet, neither of them wanted to look away.

Both are lost with each other's presence.

"Do you really think we can still meet?"

Daeyun randomly asks Kyunghoon. The two are in their usual spot. The tree that they are resting, with the lake in front of them. It was a sight to see.

"I told you many times already. I will find you."

"But what—"

"You are made for me. And I am made for you."

Kyunghoon stops him. They looked at each other and smiled.

"Soulmate."

Sunghoon spoke. Jake woke up from the daydreaming.

"Huh?"

"I think I had found my soulmate."

Jake looked away. There he goes again. Throwing lines as if they've met before.

"Good for you."

Jake looked at the sky, releasing a breath. He felt Sunghoon come closer.

He was about to stop him when Sunghoon held his cheeks again.

"I know you can feel it too. You can feel the connection right? Please tell me I'm not the only one."

He don't want to meet his eyes. Jake looked everywhere except him. Not like Sunghoon wants it.

He suddenly crossed over. Leaving Jake surprised. Now that Sunghoon is literally in front of him, above him. Just Sunghoon's hands keeping his weight against Jake.

"What now—"

"Shut up okay? I'm enjoying the moment."

Sunghoon spoke. He stares at him. He just stared at Jake. And Jake let him. After all, he might do something if he'll disagree.

It stayed like that for about 5 minutes. And when Sunghoon is tired, he finally removed himself above Jake. The man below him immediately let out a big breath.

"Let's get you home?"

Sunghoon spoke, grabbing Jake to stand up. Jake felt that something is wrong. But he kept quiet.

The ride was quiet. For the first time. And yet even if Jake wants silence, he can't help but to suddenly be conscious on why Sunghoon is suddenly not talking to him.

"Where do you live?"

Jake became alert. His expression glowed. Sunghoon noticed it. He stops himself from jumping to him.

"Sunoo's my neighbor. I live just in front of him."

Sunghoon nodded.

'Now I have more reasons to stay more on Sunoo's house.'

Then silence again. Jake's expression fell. He kept on biting his lower lip. Staring the the view on Sunghoon's window. He wanders to himself.

Sunghoon controlled himself. There goes Jake again with his tactics. But this time, he's really doing it unconsciously.
Lip biting.

'Don't do that. I might not stop myself.'
