catching an Omega

chapter one

(sorry for the people who read the other chapter before I deleted it. I didn't like how it went so fast and how cringe it was so I'm starting over again I'm sorry.)

Naruto pov.

I was jumping from tree to tree, running from an alpha. It's a good thing that I like parkour because things like that help me get away. I'm in the omega games if you don't understand I will explain. The omega games is kinda like a holiday that alpha's and omegas attend, to find their mate. I personally don't like the omega games,I only go because iruka wanted me to. I mean why can't people just mate normally just because it's tradition doesn't mean anything traditions can change.

After a few mins I got away from the alpha that was chasing me. I decided to stop in a field. It was a bunch of big sakura trees with red and orange oak trees the grass was short and green it gave off a fall vibe. I wanted to stop and catch my breathe before another alpha came chasing me again. I looked around the beautiful scenery and I saw someone, it looked like they were sleeping and they were emitting a scent that attracted me to them. I jumped down from the tree I was sitting in and slowly but quitely made my way over to the person sitting against a big sakura tree. When I made it over to the person I gasped. It was an alpha!? I totally just fell into a trap! I noticed that the alphas eyes were closed and I could hear a light snoring. I was just looking at the sleeping alpha before me in aw. He looked so peaceful sleeping so soundly I just couldn't take my eyes off of him. I unconsciously moved closer to him. I got so close that are faces were about to touch. I stepped on a twig and the alphas eyes snapped wide open scaring me as I jump back. The alpha started looking around as if searching for something then he saw me. He locked eyes with me for a few secs before he jumped up and started running towards me fast. I started running as if I was running for my life. I then jumped in the tree and started tree jumping. It really is a good thing that I like parkour or I would've been dead meat otherwise. After a good 10 mins of tree jumping at top speed I looked behind me to see the alpha tree jumping as well. And he was fast, maybe faster than me. He was about 4 trees behind me. I was surprised he was the first person I met that like parkour like I do. After a good 5 more mins I got annoyed.

"Why are you still following me!?" I said stoping and turning around to face the alpha. I tried to sound angry and mad but with my soft and feminine voice it was basically impossible. "Troublesome, Because your my goal." The alpha said stoping on a branch three trees away from mine. "Heh?" I said turning my head to the side slightly. The alpha then sighed. " My family has been wanting me to find a mate for two years. They won't get off my case about it complaining about how I'm to lazy and need to stop sleeping though the omega games, so I decided that this year the first omega that spots me will earn my time and energy." Shikamaru said sighing. "Well I'm sorry but your gonna have to pick another omega because I don't wanna be some alphas pet or submit to any of them." I said attempting to run away. Just when I was about to run away I stopped. I immediately calmed down and relaxed. I turned to see the alpha emitting a calming aura it was like a minty green and it felt like I was relaxing in a field surrounded by flowers and beautiful sakura trees and it felt like heaven it's self. The alpha then came to the branch I was on.

Shikamaru's pov

I came over to the branch the blonde omega was on. I then noticed that the blonde was about a head shorter than me. He had long blonde beautiful hair in a ponytail that rivaled the sun. And the most big and bright baby blue eyes. He had three whisker marks on each side of his cheeks. He also had a small feminine body that was curved in all the right places. The little blonde omega then leaned against my chest and closed his eyes. He listened to my heartbeat for a few seconds before he started purring which made my heart melt at how soft and adorable it was.
" Heh. What happened to not submitting to any alpha huh blonde." I said stroking his hair making him relax more into my chest. I then picked him up and started heading back to the gates to the forest we have the omega games in. While I was carrying him Bride style I couldn't help but notice that he was extremely light. I'll just ask him about it later. I saw the gates and ran by foot the rest of the way. When I made it to the gates I saw my mom and dad.

"Shikamaru! You have a mate let me see him!" My mother said running up to me with my father in tow. "Wow you got a cute one! She's so cute!" My mother said caressing my omegas face. I sighed. "Mom he's a boy." I said looking her in the eyes. " Omg that's even better!" My mom said smiling at how cute naruto is. "Good job son." My dad said. I turned to him and gave a lazy smile. "I kinda like this one. But something tells me that he's going to be troublesome." I said sighing. My father just laughed. "Well you can wake him up when we get home." My father suggested as we all walked to the car. "Yeah I just might do that." I said getting in the car. I put the omega down on the seat and sat on the opposite side of him. After a few secs he started to look uncomfortable and he opened his eyes, he looked around and spotted me. He stared at me for a good two mins before coming over to me and crawling into my lap, he leaned his head on my chest and listened to my heartbeat before going back to sleep purring softly. I held him close to my chest as if I was gonna lose him. I then reached into my pocket to pull out a collar that was green with a white line going around the whole thing. I then put it on my omega. I hugged him closer to my chest. I think this blonde already has my heart.

I hope you guys like the new version. Sorry if you wanted me to keep the other version but I think this one is better written and the other one was lowkey cringey to me. And I had no idea what to do for the next chapter so I just started all the way over. Tell me in the comments if this version is better please it will help my confidence alot.😁🤗🥰
