/Highly recommend reading Lost Boy then Calum's Boy first before reading this/
| Hello! Just wanted to put this out there, I wrote most of this story about a year ago so sorry if the writing is a little off as you read through this story :/ lol but anyways, hope you enjoy as always :) |
It was nearly a year later so why did Calum drive me some miles to a restaurant and tell me it's our date?
The social steriotype of two guys in band tee's and skinny jeans walking up to a fancy restaurant just doesn't happen. So, I asked Calum what the meaning of this was and his reply made the clouds cry and it started to rain.
"Remember that promised date about two years ago?" He started to ask.
I roll my eyes playfully. "Yeah, it's the faintest memory I have." I joke as we're seated at a table.
"Oh c'mon." Cal laughs. "It wasn't that long ago." He reckons.
"How long is a year?"
"Three hundred sixty-five days?"
"Now multiple that by two."
"Six hundred . . ." Calum starts doing air math. "Twe- no, zero, carry the one. Three. Carry over . . .seven hundred thirty?"
"Yes, now including that seven hundred thirty, add how many days of this year that passed."
"Oh baby, I'm not good at math but I get it, okay?"
"Ok, darling."
A waitress comes around asking what we wanted to drink and what we wanted for tea.
When Calum first mentioned this date two years ago, I didn't actually have expectations for it but I figured he was a stay home guy.
If I was in charge of this date, I'd take us to a skating rink and after we'd go grab a bite of sushi and I'd walk Calum home . . . and kiss him on his porch before I tell him goodnight . . . but hey, that's just my cliché moment.
Calum had ordered for me one of most distasteful food items in the world so we shared his plate in which I feel I greedily ate more than half of because it was just so fucking good and I went on to apologize to my baby boy but he insisted that he was extremely full as it is and to not worry about it. But I always worry about Calum. I worry if he's eating properly or not or what happens after we split up for uni.
Will he still be my Calum?
Calum held my hand as we walked back to his car.
We were sat in his jeep when he started to make conversation. "So you go back to uni before me?"
"A couple days early, yeah." I reply.
"I'll miss you, my baby."
"I'll miss you too."
Calum reeves up the engine, taking us home.
It was passed midnight and we were still up, just laying in each others presence.
"I love you, Cal."
Calum looks down at me for a moment. I was cuddled into his side under the blankets on my bed.
"You okay baby?"
I nod my head in the darkness, keeping my eyes closed. "Yeah . . . I just wanted you to know I love you."
Calum kisses me on the head. "I love you, Luke."
I sigh. "I love you too."
