The wind was blowing hard that day. So strong that a simple gust of wind could help her fall. Fall from the top of the roof she was on. Hair fluttering in the breeze and eyes closed, she could no longer see what was in front of her. Yet she knew it. There was only a void. If she took one step forward, she would be free. Free to start over, free to forget. She had no doubts, her decision was taken a long time ago now and she wouldn't go back.
She lifted her foot. One step was enough. She began to fall but instead of falling forward, she was pulled backwards. Pulled by two muscular arms around her waist. She found herself trapped, her back against a man's chest. The two bodies fell, ending up sitting on the cold floor of the building. Breathless, her heart was about to explode. She almost reached her goal. Almost...
Turning her head to the right, she could see a face above her shoulder. A few centimeters separated them.
« Yo! »
One word, just one. She glanced at the boy. Why was he looking at her like that? She wanted to throw herself off a roof so why was he smiling?
Yellow eyes and grey hair : She had never seen him before. He was still holding her against him with a strong yet gentle grip and didn't seem ready to let go.
The young girl lowered her head. She felt ashamed. Ashamed of being caught in the act. Ashamed of her cowardice. She failed and on top of that there was a witness. How pathetic.
« Want some ice cream? I love ice cream, let's go! »
She lifted her head suddenly to stare at him. He seemed so happy unlike her, smiling at her expressionless face. He kept his grip on the young woman's body and stood up effortlessly, still holding her in his arms. He was reluctant to let go, but finally did it. She wasn't moving so he walked around her and stood in front of her. He wanted her to look at him.
The young girl's green eyes analyzed the young man's chest : A simple blue t-shirt. His body was really thick. She looked up again and met his gaze. A cheerful look. It was too much for her.

« I want vanilla! You like vanilla? »
She didn't answer, just staring at her damaged shoes. Yes she liked vanilla, she loved it.
The boy didn't insist and ordered two ice creams. He gave her a pot with a spoon, a big smile on his face.
« What's your name? »
No answer. The young man raised an eyebrow. He didn't hear her voice once yet. Why didn't she want to talk to him? He swallowed a spoonful of his ice cream as he watched the woman in front of him. He was a giant next to her.
« I'm Bokuto Kôtarô, nice to meet you. »
She still didn't answer him so he continued to introduce himself.
« Which high school do you attend ? I'm from Fukurôdani on the volleyball team. You love sport ? »
He asked her a lot of questions but got no answer.
Bokuto was a very energetic and talkative person. He liked to be surrounded. In front of this girl who didn't want to answer him, he tried to speak to himself to kill the silence.
He was talking about his life. The young girl seemed interested. She had her eyes on him ever since he started talking about volleyball. He told him about his matches, his meetings with his comrades, his victories ...
It was getting late. Bokuto stood in front of her and raised his hand.
« Lend me your phone, I'll show you something. »
