The Kathy Games

Chapter 1~ The Games Begin

The arena echoed as the speakers announced,

"Welcome to the first Kathy Games you all have been entered into this arena by queen Katie, you may be her friend, or you may be her foe. But one thing is for sure you have all entered for a reason but only one will come out alive, let's see who it will be, shall we?"

The speaker stopped for a moment then continued to announce the competitors,

"Finley, Kami, Ava, James, Roman, Kai, Abby, Finn Glenn, Ryan, Anna, Lily, Josie, Jade, Gia, Jack, Tessa, and Brynn. Meaning 17 enter, 16 will die, 1 will survive."

The ear deathoning cannons bursted signaling the fighting will now commence. Everyone was still in shock and some even remained frozen still. While the rest either ran towards the safer woods or some dared to go to the deadly center cornucopia.

Tessa was the last one to step off of her pedis tool. She could hardly breathe correct and a tear flew down her face as she ran right into the wilderness without even thinking about grabbing any materials.

Kai, Ava, Kami, Abby, Josie, Finn G, James, Jade, and Jack were the only ones who dared to enter the blood bath cornucopia. Kai, Ava, and James made eye contact signaling their alliance. They were the first ones there and chose their weapons carefully. Ava picked up a bow and arrow and thought that was her best weapon until a pointy spear caught her eye and she immediately dropped the bow and traded it with the spear. Kai immediately knew what weapon he wanted and picked up the machete. While he was observing it, he felt a brute force tackle his body to the hard grass filled dirt. He looked up at who it was and there was Jack on top of Kai holding an arrow but with no bow he held up his arrow preparing to stab him in the neck. Right as Jack lifted the arrow up and was about to stab Kai, Jacks face went from a grin to still and emotionless. Kai was confused until he saw a tip of a spear come out of Jack's chest. Kai quickly pushed Jack's lifeless body off of him and Ava helped him up after saving his life. A cannon went off signaling the first death in the Kathy Games.

Kami and Finn were in woods at the time and when the cannon went off, they both flinched and looked at each other, making sure the other one wasn't the cannon. They tried to get stuff at the start of the games from the cornucopia but thought it was to risky.

Back at the cornucopia while Kai and Ava were fighting James found an axe and was ready to get rid of some of his competition. So, when James saw Abby grabbing a backpack from the corner of his eye, he darted towards her. They both made eye contact from a distance and Abby didn't feel threatened because James was hiding his axe. But within moments he pulled it out and threw it with all his strength at Abby. She had very little time to react but react she did, as she put the backpack she picked up in front of her body protecting it. The axe landed into the backpack and James look angry, so he bolted towards her to finish her, but Abby already had that idea and ran into the woods with James's axe still in her backpack. James tried to follow Abby into the woods but after a few minutes in the woods he was too tired to continue and lost her.

Roman, Finley, and Ryan all decided to team up after grabbing backpacks at the cornucopia and seeking shelter, food, and water. They found a cave and decided to seek shelter there for now. Roman went out to try and find some sort of nutrition for the three of them but couldn't find any. So, he decided to head back to their cave while he was walking there, he saw Anna and Brynn, so he immediately ducked behind a rock. He saw that they were weaponless and knew he could kill them even with his pocketknife that Finley gave him from her backpack. But right as he was about to attack them, he saw Gia in a tree eyeing them down like prey. She had a bow and arrow and Roman watched in amazement as she took out and arrow and carefully aimed it at Anna. She closed one eye and pulled her arrow back all the way back. Gia then released the arrow and it tore through the air. The arrow then planted into Anna's arm as she let out a dreadful scream. Brynn panicked and looked around to see the culprit, but she couldn't see Gia all the way in the tree. Brynn then helped Anna up and calmed her down as they hid by a bush. Gia just watched from the tree and didn't try and shoot them again. Roman then decided to back down from his urge to kill and headed back to his cave in the opposite direction avoiding Gia at all costs.

Once everyone cleared the cornucopia Josie and Jade emerged from the inside and started to gather the remain weapons and goods. Josie wanted to go into the woods, but Jade thought it was a good idea to stay at the cornucopia knowing no one would come back. So, they separated, and the sun started to set.

Tessa got cold as the night came and decided to make a fire. The red flames scared the air making smoke visible to everyone in the arena. Lily came out of the bushes and in fright Tessa screamed. Lily looked around in fright then said,

"Tessa, we need to leave I bet you people are on their way to your fire right now to kill you."

Tessa was hesitating and didn't know if she could trust Lily, but she was right there are probably people coming to kill her right now. So, they ran away in the pitch-black woods.

Right as the sun entirely, the voice of Katie began talking all through the arena,

"Hello, their tributes surprisingly only one of you have died today less than I expected but all of your times will come so don't be too excited you will all have your time."

That's when her voice cut out a picture of Jack came on the arena honoring his death.
