Beep beep beep my annoying alarm was going off and a rolled over to see the clock and it said 3:00 am. Today is the day we get on a plane and move to Australia.

I groan getting out of bed because we have a really early flight. I already had everything packed and most of it was shipped out to the new house already. All I had with me was my carry on bag and some clothes for today and when we get off of the plane.

When we left the house I was still pretty much half asleep so when we got in the cab I put my headphones in and started listening to one of my favorite songs Made in the USA by Demi Lovato and I guess I fell asleep because the next thing I knew we were at the airport.

I hate airports and flying. I hate the crowded walkways as everybody rushing to get to their flight and I hate everything about flying. The take off, the landing, the annoying little kids kicking the seats, and most of all sitting with nothing to do for 19 hours while my mom tries to make conversation.

The whole flight was torture because all I could do was think and in this situation where I'm about to move to a completely different country where I didn't know anybody. I was terrified and I felt like throwing up.

It was almost time to land and I was told to put my seatbelt on. You have no idea how much I wanted that plane to turn around and take me home. My mom grabbed my hand knowing how much I hated this part.

We got off the plane and decided we needed to just go straight home because we were both feeling very tired and drowsy from the flight.

We got to our new house and even though I didn't want to be there I still couldn't help but admire how beautiful it was. The outside was painted a pretty shade of yellow. I didn't even know that pretty yellow existed until now I've always hated the color yellow.

2 hours later I woke up and I was starving so I decided to walk to the grocery I saw when we were driving home from the airport.

I walked into the store and headed for the chip aisle looking for my favorite snack, funyons, I searched the aisle and I couldn't find them so I decided to ask a worker for some help.

"Excuse me"  I asked the first person I saw.

"Yeah?" The boy with red hair turned around and I saw his name tag. His name was Michael.

"Can you help me find the funyons" I asked timidly

"Yeah, I love funyons!" He sounded so excited

I could already tell I would like this guy.

We walked around the store, talked, and laughed. I haven't actually laughed in a long time. It felt good to just let go, be happy, and just enjoy myself. He got off in 15 minutes and we decided we wanted to hang out.

We left the store and he invited me over to his house. I agreed but what I found when I got there was what would turn out to be the best surprise of my life.
