Level Up!

Chapter 7

Everyone was laying around the house with nothing to do since school was canceled.

"Guys, I'm bored and I think we should go somewhere since it is nice out!"

"y/n is right guys. Hey, let's go to the beach! It'll be fun and we can enjoy the nice weather too! Plus, I'll text Niccolo and he can be our chef for the evening!"

"Great idea Sasha! We should go to the beach; we'll enjoy the sun have a nice BBQ."

Everyone decided to go shopping to get stuff for the BBQ and new swimsuits for the beach. While Eren and Y/n decided to go shopping by themselves and got each other gifts and their own swimsuits.

*10 mins later*

"we're finally here! Welcome to Wall Rose Beach, everyone."

Everyone got out of the cars they took and grab their beach items and headed to a nice spot on the beach and set up their spot on the beach. Sasha, Y/n, Mikasa, and their friends they invited, Ymir, Historia, and Annie, were tanning while the boys were playing a game of volleyball. Eren walks over to y/n and squats down to her level and looks at her.

"Why don't you girls come play volleyball with us please.'

y/n and the girls looked up and Eren, who was smiling brightly, and got up and joined them for a game of volleyball.

"Ymir over here!"

"Passing it to you my sweet wife."

"Nice pass Historia send it up so I can show these boys who is better at volleyball."

"Here you go y/n."

Historia sets the ball up and y/n runs up and spikes the ball over the net and it lands down past Eren who was a second too late to save the ball and watches as the ball hits the sand. The girls cheer high fiving each other while the guys look mad that they lost at a game of volleyball to the girls.

"Alright ladies if you are done gloating about winning let's eat."

The girls nodded and headed towards the grill where Niccolo was cooking BBQ chicken and has a set of Cesar Salad on the side with mixed fruit inside of a watermelon. Eren sat next to y/n and kisses her cheek.

"good game babe I didn't expect you to kick my ass that badly."

"Well, I did play volleyball in high school and was the Capitan of the team and honestly it was so much fun to play, until, one game I got badly injured and they said I could never play again but here we are playing again! It brought back so many memories."

Everyone looked at y/n who was smiling and Eren was blushing while smiling at her.

"Wow y/n we didn't know about that. I mean if you told us, you couldn't play I wouldn't have suggested it, I'm sorry."

"Why are you sorry? I'm in perfect health condition. This was when I was in high school which was about four years ago guys come on, I am okay! Plus, I had so much fun playing."

Everyone smiled and enjoyed their meals when two people approached them and greeted them.

"Hey, guys sorry to bother but my friend and I wanted to come hang out with you guys if you don't mind. I'm Reiner and this is my best friend Bertholdt."

Bertholdt waves smiling and everyone greets themselves and accepted them into their group. They both got a plate of food and sat down and joined them.

"So, I know this is going to sound weird but we overheard that you guys go to Wall Maria Uni and so do we. We are seniors in political science, and you should come to our house and join us for a bonfire and marshmallows and a couple of beers, we have spare rooms for you all to crash in if you want to."

"Hell yeah that sounds awesome and honestly what a better way to end to end a day at the beach than having a bonfire and a couple beers and marshmallows."

Everyone agreed and started to pack up their stuff and followed Reiner and Bertholdt to their cabin home which was pretty huge. And started the bonfire. About a couple of minutes, later everyone was sitting around the bonfire y/n is wearing one of Eren's hoodie and sitting next to him and enjoying a beer with him.

"You what would sound amazing right now? Someone playing the guitar right now."

Everyone laughed and agreed and then Bertholdt went inside and brought out his guitar and tuned it and looks at everyone."

"Anyone have any suggestions?"

"Oo! Me! Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen"

Everyone nodded and Bertholdt started to play the song and sang the words as well

"Now I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth the minor falls, the major lifts the baffled king composing Hallelujah"

Eren takes a sip of his beer and stands up taking y/n's hand offering to dance with her and y/n accepts and wraps her arms around him and he wraps his arms around her and holds her close and kisses her cheek.

"Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you She tied you to a kitchen chair She broke your throne, and she cut your hair And from your lips, she drew the Hallelujah"

By this time everyone is slow dancing to the song and Eren looks at y/n and smiles.

"I love you y/n"

"I love you too Eren."

They briefly kiss while Bertholdt is singing the song and playing the guitar.

"I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you and even though it all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah."

"Marry Me y/n"

"...what..."

Eren lets go of her hand and got down on one knee and everyone stopped dancing and looks over while gasping.

"I said, Marry me."

Eren pulls out a black box and opens it to a rose gold band with a beautiful emerald gem on it and shows it to y/n.

"Will you marry me y/n?"

Y/n is crying and nods her head yes and Eren slides the ring onto her finger and hugs her tightly and attacking her face in kisses while everyone else is clapping and cheering on while Bertholdt finishes the song.

"Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah."
