Stiles walked through the hallways, and as he walked past the windows overlooking the forest, he could faintly see claw marks in the tree he has seen Derek by earlier. He looked ahead just in time to miss bumping into Scott and Allison. He moved back, messing with his bag. "Oh hey, Scott. Allison." He nodded, waving a hand a little and looking away.
He was always a bit jealous of what they had, but he would never admit it to them or himself. He just hadn't found the one he wanted to be with yet. His mind raced with the thought of the dream, his face growing red as he looked up at Scott.
"Hey, Stiles? Umm, are you okay?" Scott asked him.
Stiles looked at him and thought about it for a second. "You know what, Scott? I'm not okay. I think I may go home for the day, I'm feeling a little ill." He said before turning away and walking down the hall.
"Feel better, Stiles!" Scott and Allison shouted before they continued to kiss again. He looked down as he walked towards his Jeep, pulling out his keys and unlocking the door. As he opened it, it was forced shut again, and he turned around to see who closed it. He was faced by Derek standing there, holding it closed, and Stiles was a little fearful as he looked up into his eyes.
Derek looked at him with a smug look on his face as he held the door closed. When Stiles turned around, Derek frowned as he heard Stiles' heart skip a beat. He was confused as to why or how his heart jumped.
Stiles seem surprised at the man's reaction, letting a smile fall on his face as he looked down. "D-Derek, w-what are doing here??" He asked in almost a whisper.
Derek stared towards the boy. "I was just passing through, Stlies." He said, looking away, not knowing how to tell him he just wanted to see the young boy.
Stiles looked at him and nodded, scanning his face with his big brown eyes. "Oh, okay," he said, "but why stop and talk to me? I'm no one important." He shrugged like it didn't bother him that he didn't feel important, even though it did.
Derek sensed the boy's sad tone and looked up at him. He moved his hand up to Stiles' chin and lifted it up until he could see the beautiful brown of his eyes. His green eyes scanned for any signs to stop, finding none. "You're not anything special, but you're special to me, Stiles." He said before leaning down and stealing a quick kiss on his lips.
Stiles was shocked by Derek's action but loved the feel of his lips on his own. A blush spread across his cheeks. "Derek...." He began before a Derek placed a hand over his mouth.
"Stiles, do not speak a word of this to anyone or I will kill you." Derek said, eyes glowing red as he caught scent of... arousal?
Stiles looked up at him and nodded, Derek's true eyes drawing him in.
"Good. You're smarter that you seem, Stiles." He said, hand dropping from Stiles' mouth.
Stiles sighed sigh relief and then looked at Derek, face turning bright red. "Um, s-so, Derek,.... You-you like me?" He questioned with a hopeful tone, voice lowering into a whisper as he dropped his head to stare at the ground. "It's okay if you don't, though," he lied. He wanted Derek to love him, to sweep him off his feet and hold him close.
"Stiles, I would never like you or find you attractive." Derek replied, his own words lies as he looked down, but he would not let the wall he built to keep people out break. He didn't need to be hurt by anyone ever again.
"Oh, yeah, okay. That's good to know." Stiles said, choking on his words. "Well I'm going to go now." As he opened the door and got in, he took another quick glance at Derek before starting the car and leaving.
Derek stood there and let his hand fall as he watched the Jeep drive away. His heart was aching but he frowned at the feeling, turning away and walking towards the forest, looking at the fallen leaves on the ground.
Stiles drove towards his house as tears slowly started to fall down his face. Of course Derek doesn't like me, why was I so stupid?! Why does it hurt so much?! He thought to himself as he banged his hands on the steering wheel in frustration. Derek had said that he was special to him, yet he would never like him or find him attractive.
Stiles parked his Jeep and jumped out before shuffling to his front door. He walked up the stairs to his room before laying down, closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep.
