Marinette Away From Gotham

Chapter 1: Years Later

3rd P.O.V

A young lady woke up with a yawn and one of those very satisfying stretches and hesitantly opened her eyes. She tried stepping out of bed but she seems to have forgotten that her comforter was still on top of her legs. So as gravity took the wheel and she face planted with her legs still on the bed she groans.
Her mother calls from down the stairs, "Did you fall off of your bed again!" The young lady calls back sacasticly, "No, I dropped my shirt." The mother replied with, "Did you happen to also be IN the shirt?" She just groans and gets up to try and get ready for the day. The young lady is also known as Samira. Oh yes did I forget to mention that the mother's name was Marinette, hmm seems as if I did.

Marinette P.O.V

As Samira walked down the stairs towards me I asked, "So what was all that about?" She rolled her eyes and grumbled out how she got her clumsiness from me. I silently laughed and said, "Since your here, why don't you decide what we have for breakfast." She nods her head sleepily and mumbles that she wants the chocolate croissants I made yesterday. I got the croissants ready in the microwave to warm them up. I then ask, "Hey do you know if your brother is awake yet?" Mira shakes her head no, so I trudge up the stairs to Korbyn's room to see if he is up.

I knock on his door and open it asking, "Kor are you awake?" I see him sprawled on his bed with half of his body off of it and laugh. He jolts awake from the sound and because of that he falls the rest of the way off of the bed. I start to laugh even harder that tears come to my eyes and I have to crouch on the floor. After I had my laugh attack I saw Kor looking at me with a deadpan stare and I lightly laugh and go to help him up.

Once we were back downstairs and all of us have eaten I noticed the time. I freaked out and shouted, "Kids you're late for school!" They whipped their heads to the clock and also freaked out. They grabbed their things for school and shoved them in their bags. I asked them, "Which car do you guys want to take?" They said the jeep so I got out the lanyard and went out to start the car.

After stopping by Caribou's for coffee I dropped them off at their high school. I drove to my shop and opened it up to get ready for my appointment today. My assistant told me that I have an appointment today but she never told me who. *sigh* Hopefully it won't be a Karen who says she knows who the owner is and tells my to do everything for her for free.

An hour later I had everything ready and soon I heard the door open so I went out to get the customer. I pushed open the curtains and gasped in surprise by who it was.

"Marinette?!"

(A/N so just to confirm Marinette has twins that are sophomores (second years) in high school. They live in Wisconsin (random state generator and some of my family live there). The twins are turning 16 and Marinette's company now goes by 'FMDCS' and she has gotten popular so there are stores world wide that have her clothes. The backstory will be later in the book.
