It was a sunny day out in New-York and Lia was out on her way to a cafe just down the street from where she lives for her morning tea what can she say shes British its just her nature.
However this time was much different than her previous trips to the small cafe. As Lia walks in she immediately joined the short queue that only consisted of 2 other people. One was a man who looked to be in his 60s and a smaller woman who looked as though she was the mans Soulmate considering she was holding his hand tightly and kissing his cheek every so often. The older couple looked back at Lia as they heard the bell on the door go and they politely smiled to her and went back to ordering their drinks. God, all she could think of is how much she yearns for her soulmates but she knows that she will never have them. she just doesn't think she deserves it even though she most definitely does.
she always said to herself and everybody else that asks about her soulmates that she would reject them on the spot just because of who she is but most people look confused when she says the last part but they never comment about it. And even though she knows she will feel depressed and empty when she rejects them but she doesn't care, its what she feels like anyway.
But before she could continue her thoughts a squeaky high pitched voice brought her out of them. " ugh excuse me are you going to order or not? " said the annoying cafe worker. She was the only bad thing about this place, to be honest no one really knows why the sweet old woman that owns the place hired her. she hardly does anything, shes rude to the customers and she flirts with anyone that she thinks are hot girl or guy. One time she flirted with Lia when she entered for the first time however, she rejected her that's why she hates Lia so much.
" Oh yeah can i get a iced tea please " Lia asked polity even though she really wanted to roll her eyes " That will be £2.50, is it to go or to stay " The worker asks as she rolls her eyes " To stay in please " She responses with her angelic voice as she hand her the exact right amount. The worker rolls her eyes again before going to make her drink. It only takes the girl a minute to make and bring Lia's drink out but when she went to grab the drink out of her hand her mark started to tingle and burn greatly, And that's when she heard the bell on the door go.
" Hello love" A voice from behind her said.
