Y/n was making faces in Akihiko's bathroom mirror. Earlier that day, when Akihiko and him had been out on one of their usual shopping sprees, he had run across a face mask packet. It was on sale and claimed to be made of natural materials. It was supposed to erase years off his face and make his skin absolutely glow. Bonus points: it was charcoal based and silver-colored. Y/n's face currently looked like a giant silver dollar.
Which explained why Y/n was making faces in Akihiko's bathroom mirror. It was his first time trying out a facial skin care mask of this variety and he was enjoying pulling at it — as he smiled, frowned, smirked, etc.
"I still don't get why we're doing this," Y/n called out, pulling a smirk and shooting finger guns at his silver-colored ass. He looked damn good and shiny. "I mean, after everything we've done, we're really going out on a date? Our relationship is so fucking backwards," Y/n muttered the last part under his breath. He voice rose once more: "Have you even asked me to be your boyfriend yet?"
"I thought you told Myra I was your boyfriend," Akihiko was definitely gloating — from wherever he was. The kitchen, probably. "Are we not boyfriends, Y/n? Because I will ask you if you need to be asked. I do not want any doubts about what exactly we are to each other."
"No, no!" Y/n waved his arms frantically as Akihiko appeared at the doorway, eyes dark with intent. "You don't need to ask. That message has been made perfectly clear, thanks."
Akihiko's expression fell flat upon seeing Y/n's face. "If you believe a date is such a waste of time then why are you preparing yourself so much for it?"
Y/n huffed, "First of all, I never said it was a waste of time and second of all, if I'm going out on my first date then I am going out looking fabulous. I even deep conditioned my hair."
"Did you?" Amusement shimmering in his eyes, Akihiko walked into the bathroom and came up behind Y/n. He ran his fingers through his (h/c) locks. "It does feel softer," Akihiko murmured before burying his face in it and inhaling.
It was so intoxicating — having Y/n. Akihiko couldn't even describe it. It was one thing to stake claim on Y/n when the (h/c) boy had been on the fence — almost unwilling in a sense. It was an entirely other thing to have a willing Y/n. One who would let Akihiko do whatever he wanted. If Akihiko wanted to inhale his scent until he drowned in it; until Y/n was the only thing he knew, then Y/n would sit there and let him.
Akihiko hummed in pleasure, wrapping his arms around Y/n's chest and pulling the (h/c) boy impossibly closer.
"Yes, yes," Y/n patted Akihiko's arm, "I love you too, Akihiko. Now can I finish getting ready here?"
Akihiko groaned, arms tightening around the (h/c) boy. "I love you so much, Y/n," it was a fevered whisper impressed upon Y/n's hair. "That is why I want to do this. I want to give you the same sense of normalcy you have given me." Akihiko's eyes opened to meet Y/n's in the mirror. "I want to give you all your firsts. So yes, I would really like to take you out on a date, Y/n. Your first."
Y/n's gaze lowered until he was meeting his own (e/c) eyes in the mirror. "My first date..." he said. Something gentled in his heart. He smiled back Akihiko. "You're so..." shockingly sweet.
Dark eyes watched him steadily. "...What?"
Y/n gave a little shake of his head, turning around to press a kiss against Akihiko's jaw. Which quickly turned into a kiss on the lips and then he found himself being pressed back against the wall, a very insistent Akihiko slipping his tongue into his mouth —
"Wait, wait, wait — fuck," Y/n squeezed a hand between their bodies, managing to press it against Akihiko's chest, pushing the dark-haired boy back. They were both a little worse for wear when they parted; flushed and slightly out of breath. "If we get started now, we'll never make it to the movie on time."
