Why don't people say be my moon
To be with them in their darkest times?
When all they need is someone
To complete their unfinished rhymes?
To be someone's sun
Is to brighten up their day
But to be someone's moon
Is to help them on their way
For in the danger of the darkness
It provides the light
Whenever your goal
Seems to be out of sight
Only in the stillness of the night
Will it shine
But oh! When it does
It looks like a silver mine
Don't lose the moon
When you're counting the stars
For if you do
You'd be lost alone with your scars
