Because I did not post a chapter last Saturday, I thought that I could make it up to y'all with another chapter this week. So I hope you all enjoy this chapter that I wrote last night. I was quite proud that I wrote it and typed it all in one night.

Chapter 8

Bellamy's POV

I could still hear Atom behind me, calling my name and for me to come back. I hated to break it to him, but I wasn't coming back until the morning was here. He had to face his consequences of disobeying me, so he would be hanging by his hands all night. It was the punishment we decided on, and that was what he would endure until it was over or Payte came and cut him down which I knew she would. I knew she would get him down once she found him. She had even told me before we left. So it was only a matter of time before she burst into my tent with her angry glare and her fierce walk. I couldn't wait.

A smirk played on my lips as I thought about her stomping through the woods with Atom on her heels. She'd walk through the camp with a fire within her and ask where I was. Then when she finally found me, we would argue until I grabbed her and pulled her close. All the anger would vanish by then, and it'd just be me and her, holding each other until I got the nerve to kiss her. I had played this through my head since I left her in the woods with Octavia. I would kiss her. I would be doing the only thing I've thought about since I first saw her on the dropship with Clarke. At first, her beauty drew me in, but as I got know her, I started to fall for her intelligence, her kind heart, and that fire that I had became well acquainted with. I enjoyed seeing that fire. Maybe that was why I couldn't seem to stop making her mad, or maybe, I couldn't stop making her mad because I am an idiot who doesn't know what the hell he is doing.

I walked into the camp with all these thoughts racing through my head, so that's why I barely head Rebecca when she came up to Murphy, Mbege, and me. However, I did catch the last bit of her sentence.

"Payte?" she asked. Annoyance filled her eyes when she realized I hadn't been listening. "Bellamy!"

"What?" I asked, looking at the girl in front of me. She was giving me an annoyed and concerned look.

"I asked where Payte was," she said. I drew back and raised my eyebrow with curiosity.

"I assume that she is cutting Atom down as we speak?" I smirked, looking down at the girl. I examined the jacket she had on. It wasn't hers. "Why do you have Payte's jacket on?"

Rebecca looked down at the jacket and pulled it around her tighter. "Payte let me wear it since someone," she stopped and looked at Murphy with angry eyes," took mine to save a spot." I looked at Murphy and gave him a 'really?' look.

"What? That thing fills up fast, and it's cold out here," he said, trying to justify his action. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Rebecca, motioning for her to go on.

"Payte went after you about thirty minutes ago. I thought she'd be coming back with you." A wave of worry washed over me.

"Maybe she was just waiting for us to leave before she cut him down. She's probably on her way back," Mbege said, trying to reassure me.

Murphy chuckled. "Or maybe a grounder got the bitch." I clenched and tried hold myself back.

"Don't say that, you prick," Rebecca yelled at him. I let out a hard breath and turned to him. I wanted to knock his teeth out, but I knew Payte would want me to be civil, to not cause a scene. Actually, that's not true. Payte would want me to not only knock his teeth out but knock them down his throat. She really hated that guy, but I didn't do what I thought she would want me to. I needed him to help me find her, and he wouldn't do that when I caused his front teeth to go missing.
