Not even miles can drive us apart

Miami has been good it's been fun I've been here for 2 months me and Alex have talked everyday for the first 2 weeks but we have been distant lately I've been working on my new single

I'm sitting in the studio frustrated my hands are pulling at my curls

"Austin did you finish your single?" Rocco said

"No" I said

"Well we have to get that finished by Monday can you do it?" Rocco said

"Yes probably im just frustrated" I said

"Why don't you go home and take a break I'll see you tomorrow!" Rocco said

I stood up fast causing the chair to hit the wall i scrambled my notes off the desk threw my backpack over my shoulders and walked past Rocco

"Austin go home relax" Rocco yelled

"Yeah whatever" I said

"Austin you ready to go?" Dave said

"Yea lets go" I said

We walked outside and got in one of the many cars dave has I threw my stuff in the backseat causing my papers to fly around

"I'm driving" I said hopping the in front seat

Dave tossed me the keys and we sped off into the miami streets

"Austin slow down"

"Like it matters" I said

"AUSTIN NOW"

We pulled into the parking lot of our apartment I left the keys in the car running towards the elevator dave came running in with his and my stuff

"Austin wait!!"

The music was aggravating me

"Hi honey your home early" my mom said

I sat on my bed kicking off my shoes i heard the door open knowing dave is here

"What's up with austin?" My mom asked

"I'm not sure?"

I turned the radio up

Ring ring ring -you have reached the voicemail box of alex-

Every time I called I must have called him like 20 times he sounded so depressed on the voicemail he was making me so mad I went out on my balcony to get some fresh miami air I ended up taking a nap

I was in my room with Rob really board and depressed lately I've missed austin a lot more than I've thought I've only talked to Rob lately

austin kept calling me today but I was ignoring his calls sending him to voicemail because as much as I wanted to talk to him once I hung up it just made me miss him even more it sucks really bad

"Come on AC you can't be so depressed over this" Rob said

"I'll be ok" I said

I was writing on my porch pencil in my mouth playing the keys on my piano

Well let's go back to the days

The slider pulled open but I was too busy to look at who it was

When I saw your face for the very first time cos your heart is in my hand

"You calmier" dave asked

"Yea usually soothes me" I said

"austin I realize what's happening here"

I looked at him with the stupidest look on my face and shook my head

"Nope I don't know what your talking about" I said

"Austin I know you miss alex it's normal he's your bestfriend"

"No no your wrong I don't miss him at all" I said walking inside

"Austin don't deny this" dave said laughing

"Why are you laughing don't laugh at me" I said

The next day I took a run down the beach when I got home I took a shower and got dressed my mom and dave were still sleeping I grabbed my keys and quietly snuck out it was around 7 and the sun was just peaking at the horizon I figured I would go down to the studio really early I left my phone at home because I didn't wanna answer anyone today

When I got their I was greeted by the secretary at the front desk I took the elevator up 2 floors to the studio the only people who were here were me and one of my recording guys

It was a long day but I ended up finishing the song around 1 Rocco came in in the middle of me recording

"I'm glad to see you back on point austin the song sounds great can't wait to start recording a music video for it" Rocco said

"Yes definitely" I said

When i got back home no one was their that I thought I was making some food when dave randomly appeared

"Wow austin chill" he said putting his hands up probably because I was holding a knife to him

"Sorry" I chuckled putting it down

"Where did you head off to this morning?" He said crossing his arms

"I took a run Down the beach and finished my new single at the label, that's about it though" I said

"alright then how's the new song coming" Dave asked as we walked to the living room

My mom got home later on and me and dave were doing a ustream after we were done me and Dave were just relaxing on my bed

"I need to go back to Texas for a little bit" I said

"Austin your busy lately your recording and shooting stuff idk."

"Yea I guess" I said

Me and austin had a long talk last night about our friendship and living situations he's gonna come down as soon as he can or he's gonna fly us all down to Miami for the summer so we can stay longer were always gonna be friends no matter how many miles we are apart it's just more difficult but we will work on it friendships have their ups and downs just like anything else but we won't let it come between us
