I woke up when I felt something nipping my legs, I'm surrounded by group of hawks. I immediately back off and sway them when I found them eating my flesh where the bullet hits my thigh part. My memories play back again when I touch Ramiel's body.
My eyes starts swelling up again, but tears won't momentarily flow, I'm too dehydrated even my tears are too pricey for my body to produce. I roam my hands through my chest where the bullet I recall landed. Some threads are peeled that forms circles, my invention works.
This red dress protected me, but I don't care about my life, now that I lost everything. I supposed following them in next life would be the best option. I ruined everything, I've got them into this mess and now, making me alive is my punishment.
"Ahh!" I scream in the middle of the woods, so frustrated that I crumpled my face. The birds flew away and chirping like communicating to others to leave the forest near me. I don't care if some of the killers are still here. Looking at the space above, appears that it's still around dawn.
I faced Ramiel lying in indescribable state, I can't believe that he would end up like this. That adorable kid, when he was shot, he was about to help me.
I tried to stand but the pain overdrives me, ended dropping myself in the ground. I was about to move again but I heard noise coming from my perimeter.
"Fight if needed Jade! I named you after a rare plant that exist hundred years ago. Jade Vynne (Vine) you need to fight!" my mother's voice echoed in my ears like she was near me, repeating her last words before someone took her life.
I gave my best shot to crawl to the nearest tree, digging my fingers to the barks as I've slowly dragged my legs to shot up. Blood never stops flowing every time I move and it's tormenting me. I grab a branch, planning to slowly climb up the tress but it breaks and landed on the ground.
The noise was now clear that it was coming from a person passing through the numerous trees. I have no choice but snatch the broken branch and used it against to that killer.
I sway the branch full force to that person, and she slipped. I am shocked to check that it was a harmless girl. Wearing a dirty colored plain dress, the sleeves is long enough not to cover her hands and its length below her knee. She's pale and skinny, it's noticeable that we had the same long brunet hair.
I wanted to help her but I'm struggling too. She removes the branch in her abdomen and gets up, glaring at me but when she looks at me from head to toe, her emotions changed.
"Why you're covered with blood?" She asked while she's still panting from running. I tried to answer but my voice is not coming out, she's disappointed by releasing hallow sigh. Without further notice she began to strip, I'm more shocked to see her body with fresh scratches but honestly, she's flawless. Looks like she never tastes to be hurt or trip in her entire life.
"We need to swap, if you want get away from" she pauses for a moment before she scans the place, seeing my little brothers body "this massacre" she added.
I followed her instructions and we changed our clothes and accessories. Lastly, she handed me a necklace with pendant embedded of numbers.
"Whatever happens, you should never lose this necklace because it's another part of me" I nodded as I hang it in my neck. I heard some noises again and before I could react the girl is already on its way running down the mountain.
I don't know what's gotten into me, but I run contrary from her direction, I know somewhere down the hill, the killers are waiting for its prey.
My blood is dripping from forcing myself to run or rather drag my leg as fast as I can because my life is at stake. I'm getting further when I heard one after another blast of gun shots, unleashed from where she was heading.
