chapter six:he that remains in the shadows

wolf managed to find himself in a desert during a sand storm wolf covers his face from the powerful sand that sweeps across his face having no sense of which way to go wolf simply walks fowards having no urge to stop

"need to find cover from the storm but where?!"

Wolf keyblades appear in his hands as the ground below him rumbles and and shifts which then proceeds to lift as wolf dives he watches as the head of a tiger made entirely of sand appears and swallows him in mere moments

'am i dead did i finally subcome to darkness no i can......did i return to daybreak town fountain.....wait no what's going on i can't breath!?'

with a sudden realisation wolf panics but rises to the surface of the a pool of water as he coughs having drank some of it

"shit.......what the hell happened?"

wolf words echoed in this seemingly endless place as he grabs his hat and swim to the nearest plateau of rock he can find and climbs up his clothes drenched and heavy

"oh yipee for me i was able to take an ice cold bath in some kind of cave that's probably full of stupid shit and traps and with no way out!"

wolf throws hia keyblade at a jewel in anger expecting the very jewel to shatter upon impact a loud rumblimg echos in the cave

"the hell is going on here"

a loud thundering voice causes wolf to cover his ears however the voice become softer and softer to the point that it's easier to understand

"this is the cave of wonders what is it you seek?"

"what i seek? the hell does that mean?!"

the voice only lets out a low growl however wolf can feel that their is wind inside when he knew that their shouldn't be

"i think i get it now this place must act upon someones desires"

without saying much of a word wolf began to follow the strange feeling of wind as he ventured forth he noticed a series of torches light up leading his path

"follow the lights i guess"

With caution and agility wolf clears some traps only setting one off which wolf managed to narrowly avoid having a small cut upom his face as the spear trap resended back into the wall

"damn that was too close thought i was going to be skewered like a fish"

leaving the room wolf finds a series of stairs as he leave the cave of wonders he finds himself outside under the night sky as the cave of wonders sink back into the sand

"our contract is done"

"what the hell was that and why is it just in this desert"

wolf turns seeing a town of sorts the entrance blocked off by guards as wolf keyblades appear and begin pointing towards the city even after he let go of them

"something must be drawing them to-"

wolf cuts himself off as he senses something strongly the presense of a keyblade weilder two of them

"shit more from the union"

wolf begins running to the city as he takes another way before long wolf breaks a hole into the city wall one large enough that even the guard themselves could fit in it

"it's getting stronger what the hell is going on here why can i sense two keyblade weilders and who are they"

wolf avoids the patrols of the guards within the city upon with he climbs up onto a roof and spots the sun rising

"morning already huh"

wolf spends a few hours merely letting the sun rise as notices a familiar sight running in the town followed by a strange creature that he's never seen before

"angel?"

wolf stands up however it seems she hasn't noticed his presense or even detected that he's here at the same time he spots someone watching them from the shadows

"are they going to try and kill her?!"

wolf begins keyblades appear in his hands as wolf takes a leap before taking off slightly cracking the walls of the houses in the city

"BACK OFF!"

With ease wolf corners whoever is tailing angel and holds them against the wall with his keyblade held at their neck

"who are you?"

"i could ask you the same thing"

As the shadows move along with the sun wolf eyes widen as the face almost reminded him of angel which he removes his keyblade from her neck

"who are you"

"you should introduce yourself before asking for the name of others little girl"

"my name is jade and im not some little girl"

"im wolf so jade what's your deal with angel some kind stalker"

"how do you know angel?"

"im her friend from way back when and you"

"im her cusion"

wolf keyblades vanish one in pitch black the other with a light that slightly lights the shaded alleyway ofnthe town

"so your related to her huh i wasn't expecting that"

"you said your her friend from what i've seen so far she seems pretty lonely and kinda worried"

"it's none of your business i can't go back at least i can't let her see me"

"but why"

wolf merely ingores jade as he walks to the edge of the alleyway and leans against the wall of a house

"I only bring trouble where ever i go i can't drag her into this it's my burden to bare and she has no part of it"

"that's stupid you should ask for help she can help you"

"i can't ask her for help and i have reasons why"

"what reason!"

"I'VE BEEN EXILED FROM THE KEYBLADE UNION AND LABELED AS TRAITOR BY THE FUCKING FORE TELLERS!"

wolf shouts at jade who face in shock as wolf keyblades appear in his hands again

"i was there during the ceremony where the fore tellers chose us to join their ranks i wasn't picked and so i was labeled as a traitor and exiled"

"but why would you go against the fore tellers?"

"i didn't have a choice the only who didn't know was the vulpus leader rest were in on it"

jade fell slient as wolf adjusted his hat before slightly turning to jade and letting out a sigh

"i want you to do me a favour jade"

"what is it?"

"don't tell angel you saw me i don't want her to chase after me swear to me you won't tell her"

"i swear"

wolf swipe his keyblade at the air as a portal opens which wolf enters leaving jade behind
